halogens aren't good for growing they get really hot I think. Get some CFLs for even cheaper more efficient lights.

Awesome shop light, terrible growing light. Wrong spectrum and mostly heat.

Save your money and buy a digital Mh/HPS setup. You can check them out at places like the Hid hut.

you can get a 150w hps for 70-90$ could grow 2 plants easily. made by sun systems I believe. http://www.elights.com/sun900490.html

goto htg supl and get 400watt for a $120 and get a cmh bulb good for the whole grow
