Some advice needed with grow room design

So, Yes Ive grown before.. its been a long time. I have a new set up Im trying to be discrete about.. its 3'x4'x8' I have an areoponic set up in it with six 6" pots in a circle. I have a kessil H380 rotating at 3RPM so its directly above each plant for 10-20 seconds a minute.. What are thoughts on one light rotating over 6 plants? I have a thought of getting another H380 never done a rotating light. Dont know how it would be having surpreme light on each plant for 10-20 seconds a minute and degraded light the rest or adding a light on the opposite side to double the light time

Hmm lemme think for a sec on that... I never used a light mover myself either but 6 plants doesn't seem unreasonable amount of plants under a single light. What kinda wattage are we talking here?

you just have one Kessil h380 and nothing else ?

That lights only good for 100 to 200g, with the mover you might get 6 x 100g plants but that would be so jammy I can`t see it working

My advice would be at least 2 more lights the same kinda power on that mover then maybe you can get 60g to 150g plants going still would be a bit jammy if you were pulling that from so little light

Wow that things tiny...Puts out 90w. I agree it may not suffice to bloom out 6 plants unless they are very small. You could add supplemental lighting as well. Looks like this light is designed for a single plant

The H380 is rated for 90w says its 250w HID replacement.. I have not personally used it.. I made an executive decision and ordered another one since no one was responding, Im sure it will pay for its self.. I have a homemade mover two is really the max unless I rig something else up.. really its just a PVC pipe that spins. Now Ill have two H380s. Yes that is all, nothing else. The plants will be getting direct light as it spins over each plant (they are in a circle) and it will be crowded for sure..

2 of the 380`s is a start

like I said they`ll get you 100 to 200g each if used right on a high yielding strain, you may want to add 100w to 300w of cob led too, 5000k or 3000k would match up nice either way the 380`s have the red and blue peaks covered

Here is my set up ATM there is still work to do. I have reflective sheets to put up and get it all together but to give you a better idea of what Im working with.

What Lights would you suggest? Ill have another 380 spinning on the opposite side you have to imagine for the moment

When you say 100-200g is that per plant or total for the six?

Also any advice is appreciated. Im not an expert grower Ive grow a couple time with 1k watt HID but where Im at the moment I cant. And my sister decided they belonged in Colorado with her when I was in the pokie..

well I know if you put 100w of good led on 1 plant

you get 100g to 200g of bud obviously you need to veg and train and so on

depends what you normally get

and I don`t ever use a light mover

So with your 2 lights I would manage to grow 200 to 400g probably I`d do 2 to 4 plants

you have a light mover so you might be able to get more gpw

but still

I`d put one of the 380`s on each side of that light mover and install a 100w 3000k cob led in the middle

you can get a chip and driver for £10 so all you need is a heatsink and some thermal cement, maybe some wire and a plug, could use a fan too

then you`d have around 300w of led and you might be able to get 6 x 100g plants out of that maybe bigger but that`d still be a bit lucky in my opinion but not impossible, 6 x 60g plants maybe more realistic depends on strains and veg time

Took your advice and ordered three 50w 3000k COD to put in the middle.. still going with six plants. Im only wanting 28g per plant to be happy so if I get double that Id be stoked! Thank you for your input. Id only doing auto seeds for the first grow.

Once I get it up and running I will make a journal for my record and just to help with general information.

If your doing auto`s my advice is to go for a longer flowering type as they can end up really small, or maybe try an XL or XXL

Also if your doing autos I would run the lights 20/4 till the last 2 to 4 weeks then maybe drop down but they normally flower fine under 20/4 if there proper autos and stable

3 x 50w 3000k cobs will do nice yeah you should be able to grow 6 x 30g autos pretty easy just get extra seeds because some of them will only get to a 7g kind size best to toss them ones out your hydro fast and put them outside, but with the auto NL we`ve ran a lot of I`ve noticed about 1 in 3 have the potential to brake 30 to 60g easy

and auto NL is one of the smaller autos, an XL strain or something like auto amnesia would get bigger as the flowering time would be longer so the plant would be less likely to bush out and stop getting bigger so soon like the auto NL and other auto pure indicas I`ve ran seemed too

Like I said about 1 in 3 can get a good size and about 1 in 5 are normally the kinda size I`m happy with but like I said Auto NL makes for pretty small plants but they do finish fast

I have Blackberry kush white widow and Think Big all from dutch passion. This is how I set the lights up its 4 50 watt and the two kessils.. you think 20/4.. I was just going to do 18/6.. on

Think Different flowers well at 20 or 18 hours I`ve ran that before

10L to 20L pots you normally get 100g or more per auto they were actually pretty good

just make sure they veg up if they start flowering under 5 nodes throw something else in to veg up and just flower them off to the side when the other plants get bigger

Auto`s can be very hit and miss size/yield wise

I like to pop off 3 to 10 auto`s per pot and keep the biggest 2 to 6 of them

Small short flowering plants that are then auto`d can end up being really small

it`s why with strains like Auto NL your better off getting Auto NL X Critical or Auto NL X Haze, you know something to bring the size up, seen a well looked after Auto NL not even get 7g just because it was a small one, that`s how autos are sometimes

but TD normally all make over 50g if you treat them right and I`m sure it`s possible to get as much as 300g out of one of them, just regular plants are easier once your used to them
