Hi, I'm interested in building a simple drip/ebb&flow system to grow tomatoes, and I need some advice.
My plan is to build small system(2-3 5 gallon buckets) due to space limitations, and I'm not sure whether to use a drip or an ebb and flow system for this size.
Complexity of the build is not much an issue for me, I'm quite capable with improvising, the important thing is reliability, productivity of the plants and the size of the reservoir.
Also, I want the lighting to be as energy efficient as possible, meaning I wish to let the sunlight do most of the work, and use fluorescent lighting for a few more hours when its darker, to create a long "day". So I'd like to know how much lighting(wattage-wise) would you recommend, and which spectrum to use in each stage(same as cannabis?).
Oh, and would medium would you recommend?
Thanks.
