solar power

just wondering if anyone has used solar panels? I was thinking of using some to power one of my fans. Would this work under lights or would i need to put the panel outside? has anyone else tried this before?

Do you mean if the solar panel is under a light inside? I'm guessing this would work in principle but I'm not 100% sure what kind of light solar panels need to work & charge efficiently - Good question coz I was wondering about this...

This is a really interesting question. Im not sure about the light either..... I think that it is definatly possible. When I was little I used to have solar powered lego capacitor. It would work of the fluros in my ceiling and im assuming they would work 100 times beeter on a hps system

i thought just because you can get those cheap and nasty airfans for your car that run on solar and thought if thr light could power it then it would cut down on my electricity bill for ventilation

im guessing the power it sucks from the light to run the pannel would be better off being used by the plant also it aont gonna cost that much to run a fan !! save the money to change the bulbs in your home to low energy bulbs and save on electric that way
