Here's something I enjoy playing around with......solar oven. These are 'Costco seasoned ribs', cooked all day in the solar oven. Yumm. I love this thing. you just set it & leave it. We bought it for y2k or 911 or climate change or what ever, for emergency cooking, I don't remember any longer, but I just can't put this thing away.If you've never tired a solar oven, I highly recommend them. You can cook just about anything in them (even Pizza & cookies) and the sun is free. this one cost $150 from the solar oven society, but can make one with cardboard boxes & tin foil.......oh & you can sterilize water in about 20mins..........cool gadget......

So I'm looking at this thread and the hub walks up behind me. He looks at the ribs and says, "I prefer your baby back ribs". Then he sees the car port grow and says, "You're a rookie!" LOL
I'm always learning.............;-)..........and he might be right about your baby back ribs, I've yet to have the pleasure.:eyesmoke:

Here's my baby back rib rub:

3 garlic cloves
1 tbs kosher salt
1 tbs black mustard seeds
12 juniper berries
1 tbs coarsely ground black peppercorn
3 tbs brown sugar
3 tbs cider vinegar
3 tbs peanut oil
2 tsp ground hot pepper (your choice add to taste)
3 slabs baby back ribs (remove the membrane)

Grind all of the above up in a mortar and pestle or finely in grinder. Rub into ribs. Then it's onto the egg with a dome temp of about 250 over apple for about 3 to 4 hours. The solar oven times you must work out for yourself. But they are wonderful in a smoker :)
