Just received our first 10 prototype boards and will load leds and test live on our instagram feed, sub at https://www.instagram.com/weledlight/

ok basic specs
300x300mm(1ft square)
TBC but will be a 3x3 killer, PPFD will be tested live
540 pcs S6 LM561C in two channels 3000/4000k, tunable/dimmable so you can drive a more uniform PAR map
3rd channel 54 pcs Cree XQE Deep red when your ready to flip
will be colour options including a full spectrum version in 380 to 850nm, Horti Pink
boards are 54v, 3amp rated but traces can run to 7amp, theoretical can run 21 boards off a single power source
Boards are resistor loaded for current balancing, no issues with mixed vf bins of different leds so no current hogging
Boards laid to suit Ledil Optics if required, heatsinks to come complete with a full list of drive topology

He wanted some testers to test them im sure and then they are for sale if every thing goes to plan im sure.
@welight can confirm when he gets the chance to unchain himself from the machine placing the leds....
But not before the boards are done please.:fire:

PCB's can be setup on separate channels or circuits. Each channel can be controlled independent of the other channels, intensity levels. Some boards have up to four channels. Each channel can have it's own driver or you can wire channels in series, very flexible model. Consider channels like lanes in traffic, only you stay in your lane and never leave your lane and you go the same speed as everyone else in your lane while other lanes go at various speeds, relative to yours.

Not enough to worry about. They allow your LEDs to live longer and light more uniformly, as one can not pull more current than the rest.

Is there a single driver, to run multiple channels simultaneously, maybe even one, where the channels are adjustable in one housing?

I just got mention and word of the Makers Unit? and off to investigate, but these boards are kewl!


Could the same thing be kind of achievable with just a Meanwell CC Power Supply and LDD bucks, is this setup PWM capable.

We are looking at various drive options including the LDD approach, it will be possible to tie the channels together for a single driver but kind of defeats the purpose of have more control of your spectrum, there will be a good range of suggested drive options
