i was j.w can you use dirt from out side if it is well brocken down and loss?? becz my house was a grow op befor i moved in to it and there is 3 buckets of durt.. and the reason i am asking is becz i ranout it money in the buget. and the plant it geting to bige for there it is .. need a bigger bucket

and if i add san with the dirt would that be ok.. i thinking it would be ok becz if you grow out doors your on the durt.. but hay i could be rong..

Using soil from outside on an indooor grow is asking for trouble, since it will likely be full of pests, which will tear through an indoor grow pretty quickly.

Just buy some cheap multipurpose compost. It costs next to nothing for a huge bag.

If you have no choice go with the dirt.Hopefully its clean free of bugs and pathogens.For a cheap way to balance the ph,add powderd egg shells,just make sure you clean um and microwave um,to kill any bacteria.You can also water that dirt with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide per liter of water to help kill any pathogens.

I remember reading that, in a pinch, you can bake soil in the oven to help kill any nasties. However, it supposedly stinks the entire house out, so I wouldn't recommend it unless you have no other choice.

well it has been in my ""basment"" i dont even know.. it was there when i moved in in nov.. there is also this
The Original Soil Block, Premium Coir Potting Soil made with Made from 100% coconut coir from canadian tire.. is that ok too
