Soil?

I just dumped soil out of Buckets from my Tomatoes.

Been kicking around on Soil. I thought I liked Sunshine 4 but found I like Happy Frog better.

I'm into Flowers, Vegetables and my special grows.

I have 15 foot of fresh Sunshine 4 but have 6 foot of Happy Frog coming.

What can I do with the Sunshine 4?

sunshine 4 works great for weed. Just gotta feed nutrients every watering. I recommend maxibloom. pH your water after mixing the maxibloom 1tsp/gal to 6.0.

If you want organic Medi-One works good. You won't get the same production without supplementation though as you will get with just maxibloom.

Don't just let it go to waste. If you can't decide what to do with it, put it in a tote or fabric pot with some worms in it. Let the worms do their thing for a while and you'll end up with some killer EWC without much work. An even easier alternative would be composting the soil. I rarely through out "old" soil. It can always be repurposed somehow.

with my soil, ill let it grow toms/peppers or weed one year, save it for next year, and grow potatoes in it, potatoes condition the old soil and all you need do is add dry amendments and your good to go with your next round of growing. oh yes, if you can, add garden compost to your soil

I've been putting Rainbow Pro Mix Grow in it and Gypsum starting some and their not looking well.

Put them in final 5 gallon Fiber Pots, just water a little around the starts.

Got a Blueberry Muffin and it really looks bad.

3 Beans and just 2 died and 1 just not looking good.

My Tomatoes I could really tell the difference but I liked the feel of the soil. With Happy Frog they filled the bucket with roots the ones I used Sunshine 4 in just didn't work.

I've had stuff do well in Sunshine 4 but it seems like hit and miss.

My wife told me I'm giving up on it too soon my flowers love it.

She thinks I'm just not feeding it enough. Got 3 tubs of used soil I'm going to use in the Greenhouse for stuff I'm growing through the Winter.

This is a way different soil. I'm thinking it should be always moist.

Really I was worried on Over Watering but from what I understand I can give whole bunch of water but long as it has drainage I can not over water. Been letting it dry out with Happy Frog then watering.

With Happy Frog what size pot are you using and does it carry your plants through veg and bloom without amending or adding stuff? I did not like Ocean Forest it was so damn heavy and clumpy. The Happy Frog I just checked out the other day and it's really soft and light feeling.

I feed Happy Frog.

This soil was explained like this. It is like a wet Sponge you wring it out and it's still wet.

It is to stay wet.

I know some of my Flowers and such really like it. I've just been too scared to use it with the girls.

I just threw away a plant someone thought it would be good to put it in a self watering pot. It had Root Rot real bad.

I've got 6 girls about ready to repot and considering putting 3 in Sunshine 4.

Ok right off the bat I have been mixing in Rainbow Pro Mix Grow and some Lime. Later use General Hydroponics.

You're saying feed every watering but I'm feeding every third watering but your right I think I should feed every watering. On the girls.

If feeding every 3rd watering is working more power to ya. I personally fed every time when I ran Sunshine 4 mix. It is inert for the most part, not much nutrient/fertilizer in it that I'm aware of.

Ok I'll try every time I get burn hold back. Should be ok I was told treat it like Hydro. I'm thinking it is like Coco.

It scares so many keeping it wet. I know you don't want it it dry.

What bothers me is not feeding something and taking care of it once it shows.

Repotting Day for Greenhouse.

I didn't know on Lavender. I figured small Herb in a pot. So I put a bunch in a big pot with Sunshine 4.

I thought just repot them in small 6 inch pots to grow until I transplant to Raised Bed.

Thing is I was getting the little plants out of the big pot they had 6+ roots.

So I'm learning.
