I've heard that briefly hanging something called Hot shot pest strip will remove any and all bugs from a grow room but to remove it as soon as the infestation has cleared due to its semi toxicity

azamax is a safer but less effective alternative that you can use to drench the soil and spray on the plant itself

and thought I don't personally use it anymore because ive gone organic any soilless media should be bug free promix, fafard and sunshine mix being the top 3 distributed

Come on, guys. You really shouldn't use those No Pest Strips in the grow room, certainly not if organics is what you're going for. But I'd have to say that nobody in their right mind who values their health should use the things, even if you weren't growing organically.

They might not emit any kind of alarming odor, but the active ingredient (Dichlorvos) is quite the toxic fumigant. I would highly recommend looking into the particulars of any kind of pesticide before you decide to use it in the grow room. Even if you consider the crap to be effective, it isn't the right thing to use on cannabis plants you're going to be smoking\ingesting. You have to at least think of your cannabis as if it were food.

Strike two.
The United States Environmental Protection Agency first considered a ban on DDVP in 1981. Since then it has been close to being banned on several occasions, but continues to be available. Major concerns are over acute and chronic toxicity. There is no conclusive evidence of carcinogenicity to date, however a 2010 study found that each 10-fold increase in urinary concentration of organophosphate metabolites was associated with a 55% to 72% increase in the odds of ADHD in children.[1]

DDVP is absorbed through all routes of exposure. Since it is an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor, its overdose symptoms are weakness, headache, tightness in chest, blurred vision, salivation, sweating, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal cramps.
Strike three. Get that crap out of your grow room.

I used Roots soil for my second run but had pH problems and gnats out of control. I quickly went back to Fox Farm Ocean Forest cut with a bag of Light Warrior. This mixture has never been too hot and given me no pH problems though I do run organically. Some people don't like the Fox Farm soils, but they simply don't know how to use them.
What kind of bugs are you having problems with?

edit: just saw you want a soilless medium. Coco? Here's a great link. https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/156578-all-about-coco-mog.html

Mouth, the only bugs ihave are the flying gnats, and im not sure if i want to use soil or soiless????

Nullis, are you talikng about the yellow sticky traps? or the hotshot? both of them say non harmfull so i didnt know they were??? this is my first grow and i am actually trying to keep my grow all veganics not just organic i do not like chemicls expecially to be ingested. So from what ive read that the hotshot and sticky traps emit a oder but are not absorbed by the buds, that is the only reason i am usuing them was to stay away from sprays etc. i dont even like to use azamax or neem (omri rated) if you have some other suggestions id appriciate it. but i dont like the bugs :)

easiest way to get rid of them for good is to use a something lime neem oil or goKNats on the soil and folliage and then COVER THE DIRT with some panda film so that only the main stem comes through. This keeps the buggers from dropping eggs in the soil and the new babies in the soil from getting to the plant.
A month or two like this should solve most your problems.

Its worked for a combined thrip + gnat invasion I had a year ago. Only took a month and it was like it never happend.
Throwing in some predator nematodes helps to make SURE your getting them eggs. Its not what you see thats the issue its what you cant see that going to hatch next week thats gonna get you.
