Soil to Hydro?

soooo i'm makin the big switch from hydro to soil.

i'm gonna start a journal when the time comes but i'll go ahead and break down the setup of the room.

12x12x10 room with about a 5x4x10 closet space for veg. the walls are all covered with panda film and as far as ventilation goes, i've got a 240 cfm fan pulling air through a carbon filter with 8" ducting running through my 1000w HPS and out through the attic...so the scrubbed air is running through the light(s) cuz i will end up (hopefully) with 3 lights in the flower room and 400w MH for veg and a t5 for clones in the little closet.

Previously (old location), i had THE MOST amateur setup in a small closet with a 600w HPS and running a ebb and gro system with 6 plants growing over 9 ft tall...yes thats right...9 ft with 600 watts...could u get an idea of quality product i was getting? before i REALLY did all my research...i thought i was producing the best around...now that i've read up...i know how wrong i was. very light and airy and not dense at all...but it smelled good and the buzz was crazy good...fact of the matter is...i'm not satisfied.

i have decided to go to organics after seeing somebody's 1st soil grow...which IIII produced the clones for, surpass my product by a LANDSLIDE!! so i decided to follow his route...but he's not very knowledgeable...he just had somebody tell him what to do...and i want to actually know and understand what i'm doing...

so basically what i'm getting at...who here would be kind enough to kind of walk me through the process of what to expect making this change from hydro to soil...i can read up all day on it but i want to read first hand accounts of what i should be prepared for in this change...

i love this forum and almost all the people here have been kind and helpful so far (there have been a couple of moldy buds in the bag if ya kno wut i mean heh heh) anyways...i'm ramblin...got that talkin buzz right now!!! peace love and nugs y'all!!!

never tried hydro before but I can tell you about soil... PROMIX wouldnt use anything else, and stay far far away from miracle grow

oops...i just realized how baked i was last night when i wrote this and MEANT to title it HYDRO TO SOIL DUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHH

Soil is one of the easiest mediums to grow in...you dont have to nute as often and depending on how our plants are drinking you typically will only need to water every 2 three days. Anyway there are plenty of threads on here you can check out that will give you all the knowledge you need.

I feed every couple of days with regular and foiliar waterings

No not every time but if your plant/plants need it then why not.Just make sure its not too much.Start off light with the nutes then add on as time goes by.Thats the good thing about soil its more forgiving so you would be able to correct mistakes as your plants progress.

u guys rock!! i'm gettin so excited about this cuz hydro made such a mess and is annoying and noisy and WET and i was just never satisfied at harvest...any thread recommendations or journals that would give me a good guide using fox farm ocean forrest under 1000w light?
