Quick question, I just switched back to soil so I'm a little rusty. When I water my plants do I dump out the water that comes out the bottom or just let them sit in it?

I use a turkey baster to suck the runoff out. From what Ive read, its best to water like half, smoke for 10min water second half and let them sit in runoff for like 15min then get it out and dump immediately. Dont end up with multie bottles in your grow room full of runoff, I ssy that cuz Ive done that.

Depends on if the liquid is simply running around the roots and out without soaking into the soil..
If your running synthetic - dump and re water a bit to get the soil to moisten.
Organic - let them sit for a few min to soak some back up....if need be.

Roots require just as much air as water...

avoid leaving mj roots in water they hate ...hate 'wet' feet

this excess may in time lead to root rot

something very much to be avoided

good luck

I hardly ever have water come out of the bottom of my stuff. When it does its usually because I poured it in too fast and it ran down between the soil and pot.
I don't like rinsing out my soil and know exactly how much water for each sized container with my soil mix.

Yeah I let them sit in it for a bit and its amazing how much they can wick up and drink. Its good to let them dry out as well as the roots won't grow if they're not looking for water
