soil or rockwool

It's just what you prefer, but if you are growing in soil.... I would say skip the rockwool.

small rock wool plugs are fast to plant and easy to maintain while soil holds more liquid to my belief. If u have to transplant them then i would definitely go with rock wool tho

peat plugs work good for clones , you can use em for seedlings to...but you have be carefull becuz they retain alota water and can rot yur gear...if yur gonna use em make sure there not soaking wet, jus moist...there cheap and you dont have to pre soak em like R/W

I have done rockwool, peat pots or plugs...lots of stuff. Now I just go straight to soil in a dixie....easy and no worries about buying any plugs. My success rate is just as good as ever, I just don't lose cuttings. I also went from clone gel to "Woods" rooting compound. Much cheaper and works better than gel for me. Just follow the directions, don't over-dip. I don't get any wilting at all using this stuff and clones are ready faster than any other method I have tried.

Doesn't really matter, plants are pretty hard to screw up for the first couple weeks. Biggest thing is to keep them moist enough and don't plant them overly deep. If you use rockwool, you should soak it in water for a few hours (preferably ph 5-6 water) and then rinse it -- it has a naturally high PH that you want to try and neutralize.
