Soil on rockwool to start hydroponic

anybody ever tried ?

I started 3 kush seeds in rockwool having made 1cm diameter circle, I feel like my seeds are too much exposed by light.

Should I keep it in the dark or could putting soil over it work ?

I assume I should of made smaller holes in the first place.

I recommend to just tear a tiny corner of the cube off and loosely plug the hole with it. Putting soil on it is generally not a good idea, as you don't want to introduce any potential pathogens the soil may hold, into your hydroponic system.

How did I not think about that... lol.
