Soil Mix, how about this?

So my babies are getting big & it's time to transplant them to their final homes in 3 gallon short pots. Currently they've just been in some 6" pots with standard BlackGold potting soil.
I went to a local shop & they told me not to get FFOF & sent me home with some RoyalGold Basement mix which after a bit more research seems the worst idea considering I have the FF trio for soil, not hydro & the salts would build way up if I tried using it. So I ordered some FFOF, perlite & got some hydrotron clay pebbles..

My questions is should I just take the Basement Mix back OR could I use some of it like dude here is using Roots Organic to make his mix?
Also I was originally planning on using the clay pebbles as a top layer to help with evaporation, plus it looks nice & was curious if adding additional perlite(since he didn't in the video) does the same thing as him adding the pebbles to the soil?

FFOF works well .... It is heavily enriched all the amendments you may need ( guano , oyster shell , castings , etc. ). It is a little hot for some strains but performs well.

You can feed off of it for up to 5 weeks WITHOUT it showing much depletion.
It is ALREADY PH'd at ( 6.3 - 6.6 ) and doesn't need RO water or other crap. I have used tap water ( city PH 7.1 ) and it still worked , as soil adjusted itself.

I only add perlite ( 20-30% ) more for drainage. ( user preference ).

So according to this companies website It is soil just coco based soil. Not sure why you couldnt use it

Everything I've read online said not to use soil based nutrients with it, like I'd need the light green bottle of FF grow big otherwise it'd end up with too many salts & nutlock

It seems there's a few different types of basement mix. My packaging looks different & lists slightly different ingredients than most I've found online. On my bag it says coco based soilless mix. I'm not trying to disagree. If you think it's a good idea to hold on to & cancel my order for FFOF you'd know better than me. I'm getting the FFOF on Wednesday & really just want to know if I can use this basement mix with it or should just stick to FFOF & some extra perlite..

By no means cancel your order... like I said I know nothing about this company or this mix. I just looked it up and that is what it said. But you can definately mix it with the ffof without any problems.

You think there's any benefit to mixing it? I wasn't thinking a high %, maybe like 15% or something.. Also I've seen people put a bottom layer of coco, maybe an inch or 2 that drains a bit quicker so the roots at the bottom can get more oxygen if they need it.

It's up to you...

FFOF = easy growing, just water and add whatever the plant ask for

Royal tupar = a little more care should be taken with coir, especially calcium and potassium. plants grow quickly in coir if feed is well balanced.

I just got the 1.5cf of FFOF I bought from Amazon for $35(I thought that was pricy but you all said it was the best so..), then went to my local Ace garden store to get a few more pots & while discussing with an employee I mentioned how they didnt have FF soil. He responded "yes we do!" & proceeds to lead me outside where they have pallets full of FFOF, same bag as I just got BUT for $12!!! I feel like such an idiot :/

Anyway I'm now about to mix up my FFOF just with some extra perlite, then transplant the 2 feminized seedlings to 3 gal. I'm putting my larger plants(bag seeds) into 1 gal pots until I can sex them & keep just 1 female I'll then transplant into a 3 gal pot for a total of 3 x 3 gal in my 2x4 tent with a 300w & a 450w LED. Should work out nicely
