Soil mix advice

Im planning to move plants outdoors into 5gallon size holes. I plan on mixing 50/50 with native soil which is pretty decent. Im confused on how much of each ingredient to mix in. I bought some promix, cow manure/compost, perlite, bonemeal, water crystals, lime, and some 5/3/3 plant food that im not sure I should use. Can anyone give me a estimated ratio of how I should use the ingredients. Thanks for any advice.

Promix is good to go as is, You can and should use about 5% manure maybe 5-10% perlite and the rest just promix. try to stay away from bonemeal or else you will be inviting critters to eat your roots, also dont use lime or water crystals if possible. When growing your best bet is to keep it as simple as possible. Dont over do anything, your able to use the 5-3-3 fertelizer but only use about half the strngth that is suggested. In the mean time however I'd start looking for another fertilizer around if possible. Im sure there is an organic shop or hydroponic shop near you. Google it and good luck buddy.

Do you mean a fertilizer I should mix in with soil or one I apply after its already planted and I keep reapplying?

Never add fertilizer to your soil, you wont know how much is good and can end up burning your roots. All fertilizer should be added after the pot is planted either in water or put ontop of the soil.

And make sure there is plenty of growth before you begin feeding it nutrients. Small/ young seedlings are very susceptible to nute burn. Remember, beginners rarley kill a plant from under doing something, It is almost always over doing. like over doing water or pest spray or fertilizers, lord knows Ive killed my fair share of plants with tomato nutrients haha

Thanks. Im gonna take your advice and keep things simple and focus on a good fertilizer. Can I mess anything up using the watercrystals? So I should skip the plant food mixed in the soil. This was just something someone recommended to me.

Stupid is correct on the addition of certain things inviting critters to dig,but can still be used with a bit of xtra work to keep the diggers out.

If you do choose to go with adding things to your mix such as the bone meal or other dry ferts you will need to use the dolimite lime also.

My tried and true mixture is 5-1-1 , that is 5 parts soil 1 part perlite and 1 part vermiculite. I would not add any off the other items you have mentioned and wait a week or so before fertilizing. Maybe add some root stimulate like white widow. Just know you will end up with seeds being outside, anywhere from 10%-50% of the pollen is MJ depending on where you live.

So you guys wouldn't even mess with the water crystals? These are iranian autos and should be done by early sept. Should I still expect them to all have seeds?
