I have fox fox ocean forest but starting the seeds in another soil as I guess it's hot

I can't seem to find the answer. If I have a 10 gallon grow bag, how many of the 1.4lb coco coir bricks do I mix in. I can't seem to find the answer. I read perilite should be 30%.

Thank you in advance

The more coco the better, all depends on how your gonna feed later on.
If your gonna use liquid ferts, I think
70/80 coco with 20/10 ocean forest and 10 perlite should be good.
If your planning on ph water and care free, more ocean forest and less coco but same perlite.

Don't add more than 10-20% perlite as roots develop bigger sizes in coco and you will need to supplement more ferts in the future as you start with less in the soil.

Sorry one more? What about vermiculite. It seems like some people are growing with very little soil and some are using very little coco

Next time go with fox farm happy frog. I used ocean forest for years until a few grows ago. Frog is not as hot and it’s a bit more fluffy so the roots get plenty of oxygen, hard to over water. Before soil I was using coir but got tired of the calcium/ magnesium battle. Happy frog is the way my friend

I mix happy frog, ocean forest, and extra perlite along with just a little bit of dolomite lime. I start seedlings in plain ocean forest though and they do just fine.
