hi guys got 3 clones from my friend, to run some tests in my ebb/flow system.Nutrients: how do you mix you nutes and how much? i have HG and i was thinking to use micro and bloom since the both give the best balance of nutrients.
Reservoir...i put everything together last night and put some GH nutes, and ph 5.8...this morning i notice the ph was 7s...why this happened? and what should i do in this case to put the ph down again? and how?
im flooding my tables 3 times of 15 min/ day.... also i got my TDS meter i was wondering how to use! what the numbers you use to grow and flowering stage...also i don't understand how you put control the PPM , like what about if you have the ppm to high, how do you put back dow and vice versa....
well i now its lots of question, but like i told you work/school both full times, i wrote all my questions down to send you this weekend ....thanks .....

but i guess i've taken on the mr rogers role round these parts and I end up playing devils advocate anyways......here goes.

oh ya, there gonna rip you a new one....
my tubs are 20 gallons. i use gh micro gro and bloom
the micro always goes in first (after the water of course)
then wich ever tub your making (flowering or vegging) that is the one you put in last. so foe my flowering tubs i put 275ml of micro and 50ml of gro then 300ml of flower.
i stir the tub for a few minutes in between each dose to make sure its all mixed well. then i adjust the ph with ph down. (its cheap and absolutely needed, no exceptions..)
they have feeding charts on the lable and their website but if i went by those i would kill my ww every time. you will have to use your tds meter to determine the right amounts for your specific set up.
your water is a higher ph than the nutes so it swings up....you always have to adjust down after adding water unless you use canna nutes with buffers and ro water but even then it will swing up after the plants get going. this is something you will have to check every day .
you dont need to flood the table any longer than it takes to get the liquid level up to the overflow.
oh dear........
for you.....1300ppm is where you should aim for. so 1200-1320 is your range. when you get really good we'll talk again about it. but that is right in your wheel house buddy. perfect level for you to aim for.
i'd like to thank the good lord for uncommon patience in the face of this demon spirit........
ok, the number you want your ppm meter to say is 1300 so you mix up the nutes in the tank.....turn on the meter....stick it in the water for a few seconds or so....then when the nuber stops rising or lowering and holds steady as you swish it around a lil bit.....write that down. that is your ppm.
ok so now lets pretend that the number was 1000 then you add a small amount of micro or the the last nutrient you put in the tub to raise the ppm. test it again.......oops now it's 1570ppm....holy shit!!! we're fucked now buddy.....well, as long as you dilute it before feeding time everything will be alright. so take out 1 gallon of liquid from the tub then replace it with pure water that has been ph'd to 5.8.....then test it again.....now it's 1400, so about another 1/2 gallon or so will get it right around 1300 for you.
remember you will have to top up your tanks with fresh water every couple of days or else your ppm levels will rise to deadly levels and the dreaded claw will pay you a visit.
when you do this you will have to adjust the ph again and the ppm should have dropped slightly....THIS IS OK< DO NOT ADD FOOD!!!! only make a batch of nutes every 2 or 3 weeks. let the plants use the food then mix a fresh batch. this way you will never get the n p k all fuckin' stupid out of whack from adding too much shit in.

ph btw 5.5 -6 keep all the nutrients available for the plants Macro and Micro...
reservoir water should be btw65- 75 better for the nutes
vegetation- you plants will consume lots of Nitrogen to produce photo and grow.
Flower- plants need more phosp to induce the flower, so less Nitro and more Phosp. propably you plant will show some leayeallon leaves by the end of the florwering Nitro deficency (normal ) the plant is telling you its time to harvest.
ppm grow vege btw 600-800 works fine
flower btw 900-1300 will do the job.
plants grown heath with somewhere around 3k -5k lumens/sqt/ft.
what else........
ahhhhthe ph of the reservoir goes up, could be RW im using its raising the ph of water or i don't know ..like you can see....i know something and i dont thing spark or whatever are going to be upset with me ...the reason i post allthoses questions ? Just to get second opinion, thats why . again thanks so much and i will keep you posted
