the person in the first picture really puts things in prospective!!!Thanks for the Kudos SOG... I only wish I had built the room sooner and went to SOG. For the last year I had a DIY 60 bucket hydro setup in an upstairs bedroom for veg and flower and a 11 bucket setup in a walkin closet for mothers. But got tired of walking upstairs all the time and at least once a month i'd find a water stains on the ceiling down stairs. Heres a cpl pics of my old setup I built. Pain in the ass lugging all that shit upstairs and then tearing it apart and lugging it down stairs. Guess old age is catching up with me. (In case your wondering...my first pet was a T-Rex..LOL)

Again, thanks for your kind words SOG...The gal in that pic is my lady and to put things into better prospective, she is only 5 feet tall with abs I'd kill for. She used to bodybuild....she don't smoke but she can whip up some home made cannabutter biscuits that melt in your mouth...lolthe person in the first picture really puts things in prospective!!!

Hey SOG i was worried man.. I havent been on in a few months since my last harvest and i go and check ur thread and it was closed.. So hows the project going from the looks of the final few pics in ur last thread u are coming along incredible. So what happened did u close the other journal for a reason? Keep it up man when do u think the project will be 100% finished and up and running.. I admire ur werk ALOT..!!

things got very busy on it, i didn't want information become difficult to find
with help from Rollit, who created a new branch called "Grow Journal Discussion" (sticky inside Grow Journals section)
i then moved every post from the original thread to this one
I'll constantly add relevant information and progress to the SOG Grow Room Op thread
this way i can keep information organized on the grow op journal
and we can shoot the breeze and chat over this one
project is moving along, much slower then i anticipate it to be
if all goes as planned, ill be scouting for clones in two weeks time

I can attest this set-up works. My first run is really just a test, so it's a little garbled - starting plants at different times as the seeds became available so it isn't nice and uniform, but it does work. Only one set-up running right now with a 400W HPS and a 2' T5 HO. You can see the amazing growth in just a little over 2 weeks. This set-up really needs a 600W so you see the stretching.
I'm not doing a journal so I don't have many pics, but here is what I have. I basically copied SOG, except I extended the fence post to include 7 plant sites and I'm using a 633 gph pump on account of having about 36 sprayers, but I think it would be fine with a 396. The fence posts are 5' as well.
This is all inside a DR240. I'm too busy with work to get bigger right this second, but soon. I'm hoping to have all the kinks ironed out of the system and some great plants grown to grab clones from when the time comes.

I've only have had one little hitch. Tricky to explain but one of the sprayers shot out at a funny angle and it would catch the top lip of the piece of reservoir plastic over the fence post. A tiny bit of water would run down the outside of the res. Just bad luck the way the sprayer was angled. twisted it a bit and all is well. I'm not sure if your plans had it or if I improvised it, but I wouldn't recommend putting a sprayer in between that first net pot and the reservoir.
Here is how the base turned out - a little hard to see, but there is netting up top.

i deliberately didn't install a mister before the first net pot
to get the misters aligned, here is a tip
place the pipe flat on the ground leaning against the wall,
take a sharpie and lay it flat right next to the pipe on the ground
pull a straight line by moving the sharpie flat on the ground along the pipe
now jab an elbow on each side of the pipe to keep it from spinning around while drilling
