SOG attempt

I'll start off by saying, this ia my very first attempt to do a sog, so any help will be appreciated... I have a tent that is 32x32x53 with a 400 watt HPS air cooled light kit. I am going to be using three plant strains, BLUE DREAM, HOLLANDS HOPE, and WIDOW BOMB... Had two basic ideas, one using two liter bottles for my pots (30 total), or using one liter bottles (50 total)... Will be using clones taken during third week of flowering. Will be doing four two week cycles with my clones, that way I can harvest every two weeks. There will be no vegging period, just long enough to get the clones rooted... Do you guys think this will be a decent setup, and what kind of yields should I expect from each type of bottle? Thanks for the info...

I would say an average of 8 grams per plant under the 400 watt with 50 plants, The real blue dream cut will yield in great favor for you you might get 10-14 grams with that strain. No one can give you an exact number but 50 plants straight to flower under 400 watt 3x3 you can Maybe get around 1g per watt especially if you got that air cooled and close to tops.

1 liter (32 oz) should be Good , my bro uses soda/watter bottles 20 0z bottles When doing alot of plants it gets a little heavy in workload something that cut time for me when watering I just put em all in a couple laundry baskets but them in a tub and water em all at once

Thanks for the info...I currently have a blue dream that is about two weeks into flowering, man, it is definitely a hardy strain... Nice work with the laundry basket idea, much easier than doing one at a time...

the bottles could work, use the 1L first, then transplant (somehow) into the 2L, make sure you make a LOT of holes in the bottom.

better yet, at the home depot by my house, they have this plastic pots that are thin, cheap things, bendable, whatever, and they cost about 2 bucks each. get those.

No Prob ,yeah that blue dream will stretch on you and my friend always pulls big colas off it, unless you ever did a scrog ,i wouldnt top IMO i think there better of with No HST but dont get me wrong it can handle and recover from it easy just the yield is better left alone Some super cropping is all you need for blue dream but since your doing SOG you dont got to worry bout that but just for future Refrence

Also you could Do that and theres NO transplant needed Since your not vegging and the Nursery 1 gal pots at home depot are good and there 97 cents BUT you can only fit 4 per square feet wich is only about 30-36 pots in there but with the 1 liter youd be able to do 50 plants

I have a scrog set up going on now.this is my 2nd grow.the first grow I used the fiber type white netting...problem with that was the fibers stuck to the tricomes!this time I made my own net using 50 weight fishing line.I am using 2 3x3 trays(botanicare)each tray has a 1000w hps hung over it(20" up)12 on,12off cycle.I use 15lb test fishing line to tie the bud sites down and fill each 6" square with a bud.In 1 tray I have 9 plants and feed them nutes from a drip system.In the other tray I have 3 plants(using 3 gallon pots)the 9 plant side has 220 bud sites above the net,the 3 plant side has 120 sites!next grow I will use 5-5 gallon buckets in each tray.the last grow I used 2 gallon pots and the lady's got root bound!10 plants keeps my plant count down too!
