Socal Summer: grow #4

Hey guys, So after my 3 plant harvest last fall from my buddies sweet cheese I yielded around a QP of some super dense meds. So I was able to purchase enough items to restock on all my nutrients, a new 600 watt HPS bulb, and a portable ac. I purchased the ac with the intention to keep my room cool all summer, but after purchase I found out that it doesn't run off a thermostat to keep the room at one temp. So here I am, my room is completely setup and I get my clones in 4 days and I'm still trying to orchestrate the built in timer on my LG ac unit when I'm running my light for the 24 hour cycle. By noon the room exceeds 100 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a room facing the mountains when the sun sets so I've come to ask people with more experience when would be the best time to start the ac and when to turn it off. As much as I'd like to run it all day I will not yield enough from 9 clones to fund that all day. Thanks for any assistance you can provide. Here's some pics of what I've got going. :weed:

(The oak box in the 4th picture is my seeding/mother room used to start the sweet cheese from last harvest)

Can you run your lights at night? That way you dont have to battle 100+ ambient temps(depending where in socal you are). You could run lights from 7pm-noon. That way you avoid the 3-4 hottest hours of the day, and give yourself a couple hours for the radiant heat to dissipate. Just have your ac come on around 15-30 minutes before your lights do, and 15-30 minutes after they go off.

I have my ac set to 60 and just put it on a 15minute interval timer. On 30 minutes, off 15. How long you would have to run yours is going to depend on its size, efficiency, etc.

That will work when I go into my blooming stage but I maintain a 24 hour light cycle for the first steps of my nutrient cycle. The ac has an auto function but I set it to 76 degrees and I have yet to hear it turn off.
