The sensi seed jack herer i grew in 2004 was peppery/spicey. No pine or soap.

I didn't like it at all. My buddy paid like $360 for those 10 seeds and only got like 2 females and pepper was his keeper.
My friends dad must have got lucky then in fairness it is the best example of jack herer ive ever tried they were from the original seed release thats probably why as well i have heard it has changed from many people and any ive tried from quite a few other seed companies and it just not even close to that jack i remember

over on icmag there was just a very interesting grow diary called "Jack is Back..." that sprouted 10 newly ordered packs of sensi jack and he seemed to find the old phenos he was looking for.

Its pricey if the phenos aint there if it is still there tho it be worth it and this is coming from me i hate expensive seeds as i aint found price always correlates with quality in my experience plus hybrid seeds should never cost what 99% of folks sell it for imo and i may have seen that thread on icmag you talking about i cant be sure il need to take a look later and see

I learned that high priced "hype" seeds are hardly ever worth it because of sensi's jack herer.

Back in 2003-4 it was all the rage in high times as a cup winner etc. Sensi was charging $320 or $360 for a 10 bean pack of regs. My buddy who couldn't grow for shit wanted to "show" me up with them top dollar seeds.

He started the jack same time I started a $25 pack of top 44 by nirvana.

My keeper top 44 blew his keeper jack out of the water. 44 was better buzz, candy fruity terps and quick flowerer.

The jack tasted like pepper, super harsh on the throat, long flowerer and buzz was a anxiety inducing buzz.

I gave my buddy so much shit over that, and thseeds the hog too. He spent $280 on those and didn't get anything worth it.

I tried some ok critical × hog but nothing that i would write home about ive got some top 44 seeds in the stash myself and like you said even the best beans on the planet arent a magic bullet you still need the skill passion patience and drive to do them justice i agree there man
