Soap burn?

I have a small spider mite problem. It's not too serious but I used dawn soap and water. Maybe I used too much cause when I woke up this morning I saw purplish black spots?!? Soap burn? It should recover right? I flushed the soil this morning cause I think there was soap in the soil. Just wondering if anybody has gone thru this. Thanks!

No I didn't. Only let it sit outside to get the chlorine out. I've always watered this way with this grow. The only thing I can think of is soap burn. Hopefully it will get better

I use filtered tap water sat out for 24hrs to water with, but anytime I spray I always use distilled water. So far no problems. My best guess, and it's just a guess, would be chlorine burn.

Thanks for the input. I will make sure I get a gallon and use way less soap next time. But hopefully there is no next time

how much soap did you use and when did you put it on? like in the sun or just before the dark period or what?
it could be due to the soap magnifying the sun and burning it?
but you could be right too about the soap if you used a lot
