So you wanna make seeds without pollinating any other buds by accident? Here's how..

Hello all, so i started this thread because i stumbled upon a technique by accident that i have never heard of being practiced and refined it to eliminate those pesky premature seeds i'm always seeing in buds now a days. So if you share my frustration with seed production and finding random seeds or prematures in your nug then this is for you!
Now im going to set a hypothetical scenario that all growers should already be practicing if they are producing their own seeds or want to.

1. The grower has a filter on the fresh air intake into their flower garden
2. The pollen used to make seeds is previously collected and stored in an airtight container with the living male removed(once a male is removed the flower room must be cleaned thoroughly)
3. The grower pollinates in a location far away from the flower room reducing the possibility of pollination
4. The grower does not enter the flower garden in "tainted" clothing
5. Hermaphrodites are not grown by the grower and eliminated if noticed(whenever a hermie is noticed the grow should be cleaned..plenty of pollen comes from 1 male flower) Why keep inferior genetics??

So with all this in mind i can begin the technique, its fairly simple but seems preposterous so stick with me...it works :]

1. Take a 5-7" pre-sexed seedling or a rooted clone of equal size and flower it.

2. Flower this plant for 3 weeks if its a 6-7 week flowering strain or 4 weeks if its a 8-11 week flowering strain.
3. Remove plant from flower after this time and take to pollination room where you will pollinate the WHOLE plant sprinkling it all over the premature buds
4. Once pollinated cover with a black trash bag and keep in a dark space or if its dark, the pollination room, for 48 hours.
5. After 48 hours uncover the plant and spray with water THOROUGHLY( i add kelp and B1 to my spray just for a shorter recovery)
6. Place plant back in veg under adequate lighting and wait 2-4 weeks depending on the strains regeneration rate(some strains vary)
7. Feed as you would a regular veg plant
8. Once you see plentiful new growth examine the "buds" until you notice the pockets containing the seeds turn completely tan/brown(you can squeeze them lightly and feel a seed if you are unsure)
DSC00201.jpg
9. Roll these seeds off the stem by gently pushing it down until it pops off
10. BAM! BEAUTIFUL RIPE SEEDS! place these seeds in a dry dark place for 1-2 weeks and they will be ready for planting
DSC00200.jpg(i got these seeds from a Blueberry Gum plant crossed with a Blackberry male not the plant as seen above but using the same technique)

11. Continue vegging the plant after harvesting seeds and you can flower again whenever she gets to the appropriate size(as determined by you)

This will eliminate the need for flowering with pollinated buds and greatly reduces, if not eliminates, the possibility of unwanted seeds.
Filtration on all gardens will completely eliminate this as well. If you feel bad "wasting" a plant for seeds which i don't but some might, then you can cut down the plant after harvesting the seeds and make hash out of it. I re-flower mine to get as much budz as i can :]

Good luck and happy gardening!

Pretty cool tutorial man. Another way I was taught was to pop open some fresh pollen sacks, pour the pollen into a cup, and use a paint brush to pick up a tiny amount of the pollen. Then place the brush into a baggy or a toothbrush container, then walk up to your female plants and brush one of the flowers. Standard rules of keeping males separate still apply. And if you're good at dehydrating there are ways to store pollen for up to one to two years.

Thanks, ya that's another common technique, it was actually the first method i tried at pollination but i found that it still leaves residual pollen which can be blown onto the other plants causing unwanted pollination. Many of my crops were seeded from 1 pollinated plant so i stopped. With this technique you can have tons of seeds and sweet sensi all at the same time.
Storing pollen is crucial no doubt, i keep mine below 32 F and in an airtight container with a dehydration packet. Works like a charm :]
