I started at minimum wage 2 years ago flipping burgers, no college degree or special skill set. Never once did I give minimum effort. Now I'm at over $50k (still flipping burgers) not counting benefits, bonuses, profit sharing, PTO etc.
This is not to say i think minimum should be $15 an hour but $8.23 is not a living wage anywhere but Wyoming.
Minimum wage is where it is because of the minimum effort people like you are putting in.

My Veteran's disability (basically rape according to you) is directly deposited into my checking account. I am currently in a hammock, but not in my mom's basement.
