So, what do you guys do in Canberra?

I am here for a few weeks, and I was looking for some cool places to hang out at, where I can meet some interesting people.

I don't really know anyone here, so any help would be much appreciated

If anyone here wants to catch up for beer or anything, I cannot be more happy

Usually as soon as it becomes apparent that I am indeed needed I can be found far away from where any possibility of me fulfilling said responsibility enters the sphere of reality in which the needy finds him or herself functioning. Any arguments shall be met with a stern look, and you know how much I hate giving people a stern look.

Quite possibly! I skipped geography and went surfing and now I'm staying so loaded I sometimes forget the thread I posted in. But I like @Mad Hamish no matter WHERE he lives I just remembered it was upside down from here

Difference is if the letter R conjures images of mercenaries with french made assault rifles and dirty beards, it is South African lol.

Might be because the dirt in my beard is smokable and I sweat around fifty percent pure vodka. Chicks love it.

I live in the capital city of western Australia . its cold in Canberra at night and politicians work there that's all I know

It's all politicians and diplomats here - yes. I have never been to such a secluded and "formal/official" place. I fix computers for a living, and my company is trying to overhaul parts of the government IT infrastructure here.

Needless to say, I haven't had such a long dry spell in my life (more than a month, and haven't even smelled it in the air yet ). So where do people hang out here? (like, any cool pubs etc where I might find some 420 kind of nice blokes? All I see are ugly politicians in suits, and I thought bud was quasi-legal here :/ )
