So what are the real differences between regular strains and autoflowers?

Thank you for all replies, I did do my research on a lot of other things but since I joined the forum i felt like this would be the appropriate place to ask, and a particular strain I was looking at was the autoflowering Northern Lights. It says it has an average yield of 50-90g so what would be the average yield if say i were to just grow some bagseed photo, around what yield range would i be expecting?
It says.... It's mostly all a bunch of bullshit maybe you can yield that much with the right pheno in perfect conditions I have seen some yield pretty good though.

Photo plants really depends on your grow room and style a lot and strain/pheno also, you can get over 1 gram per watt of HPS lights just got to be pretty good from a nice yielding mother. From seed the plants will be all over some yield nice others not so nice so doubtful you will get a great yield and that's just 1 reason auto's are inferior as well as quality you get more CBD which counteracts the THC so they ain't as strong won't get you as high as some dank bud.

You find that 1 in 1,000 holy shit plant she's gone with the wind buy more seeds cause they only sell fems so they keep selling them to you and not for cheap. It's great for making money as a breeder though "oh, you loved it? buy more auto fems." lol,
