How much does it help ?have you personally tested this theory?

Well I topped my plants, No hack job though I'm way too surgical for that.
But here's an idea of what to expect from having multiple colas per plant.
I clean up all the lower branches to create a true canopy like he suggested.
I'm pretty positive my cola's benifit from this lack of competition for nutrients on the very bottom of the plant.

I have multiple colas on my plant about thirty something.
