I use the best of both methods together. Blast into a large pyrex on top of a good hot plate that won't lose any heat from the tane. I set to 37 C. Whip the shit out of it until practically no bubbles left. It will start bubbling again, keep whipping. Once nothing but tiny bubbles happening, scrape that full of tane wax into the vac for shatter. I highly suggest not even testing it before at least 8 hrs in a good vac. You will appreciate it, when you wake up the next morning!
You want quality purged wax? Put your chamber on top of the heat set to atleast 43 C. Pull full vac and cut the valve to hold that vac, and kill the pump. A closed vac will transfer the heat through your chamber with a quickness that a running vac might never allow it to get hot enough. Once it all melts back down, vac the shit out of it full blast wide open! Big ass bubbles like crazy. Once that stops and settles all the way down. Form back into a tight ball and repeat.
