It kinda brings up a lot of concerns. Like how do we know if anything is legit or the strain its suppose to be.Like this is a Genetics company sayin this. Is there anywhere that those of us who cant afford hundreds on seeds can trust to at least get the the Strain we think we are getting? Like according to this dude, you might not even be getting the strains you order at all let alone the fact that they are copying strains. The worst part is, Some of them he touches on are companies that I have saw listed as trusted.

Search engines are manipulate by capitalistic greed. Out side of simply the care for a plant they gonna send you to there highest payer. If you want real direction on who to work with do your research from experience professional growers.

Right but like my seeds came from one of the companies Listed in the video as "selling fake seeds" so how am I suppose to even know that my Mexican Red Hair Sativa is ACTUALLY Mexican red hair sativa, hell according to this video it could be a totally differnt strain thats an Indica.

I did a shit load of Google research before I found RIU first pack came from ILGM lucky everything came up close to what was advertised. Chances are the mother was a Mexican Red Hair but god only knows who pollinate her. My LA confidencal and Cali dream I got going I picked up on the cheap from a dude selling open packs here and same story(gusse I'm lucky) if you got something totally different it's bc someone fucked up in collection and packaging. Shit the mother might have caught pollen from 5 different hermies. As an personal home grower I wouldn't stress it to much, if you pick up some patients looking for catered effects or want to make your own crosses for specific traits much different story.

I'm guessing you're probably referring to North Atlantic seed company being on his list. I would consider both them and seedsman as legitimate seed banks. However these legitimate seed banks are selling some packs from breeders that are not legitimate genetics as pointed out. But they also sell breeders that do have completely legitimate genetics. I would not be afraid to order Ace seed packs from them. There are a lot more legitimate seed banks that do the same thing. They're just reselling packs from breeders. They aren't the ones creating the genetics. For any seed sales you just need to research the origins of a particular strain you're wanting and get the genetics from the original breeding source. You can't just blindly trust a seed bank. You have to also trust the breeder. If it's a clone only strain then anyone claiming to be selling seeds of it is full of crap. Or at least it can't be anything more than a cross with those original genetics or an s1 cross. Like blue dream. It's clone only. Any seeds of blue dream are not really blue dream. It's either complete made up or at best a cross that had blue dream in it. If you actually want blue dream then you need to find the clone. If in doubt then it's best to ask if a source and breeder you're interested in is legitimate.

Nah im only every growing for me, aint got room in my tent to be growing for others. But my biggest concern is that I get a couch lock strain that i can ONLY use right before bed which defeats the whole purpose of getting a Sativa in the first place lol.

Well I will never be doing clones, because I plan to do mostly autos anyway and you cant clone them. I will do a photo run here and there, but Autos suit more how i want to grow. I may however plant some photos Outside over the summer and just let nature do its thing.

I personally wouldn't buy anyone's autos and expect them to be the real genetics if they're claiming it's some big name strain that exists in non auto form. You have to cross it with another auto or some ruderalis to get the auto flowering trait. Someone claiming blue dream, white widow, blueberry, bruce banner, etc is full of crap unless they also disclose the other genetics that made it auto flowering.

Sure, but mephisto isn't claiming to have clone only strains in auto form. They've actually breed them to be their own new strains and label them accordingly.

I don't know anything about the crystal meth strain but all the rest are strains that are not auto and predate auto's so to get an auto version of them they will have to have been crossed with something else to get them to autoflower. Therefore I personally would not want any of them from someone claiming to have an auto version. But then again I personally don't want any autos from anyone so I'm a bit biased. If I were looking for an auto I would go to one of the established auto breeders like mephisto and choose from their offerings. If I wanted those strains you listed I would not get an auto version as it is no longer that strain. If you insist that you have to have those strains in auto then you'll just have to accept that you'll only find something close at best cause it's been crossed and bred away from the original genetics.

Just throw your photo seed in to 12/12 after like 1 week of veg. You'll get about the same effect of growing an auto. Maybe take an extra 2 weeks tops. But a lot of those strains are true landrace sativa. None of them will flower fast. 11 weeks minimum maybe as much as 20+ I think a few of those have gone extinct or are clone only at this point

Well I of course would accept that it has been crossed with ruderalis, but as long as its the Original strain x rudaralis I am cool with that.
