it looks black been in cup with 6 paper towels wraped round it and like less than an ounce of water in dark closet this is the second day ans the paper is moistish is it dead?
 
Paper towel method works really well... Keep it in a warm place and your set. Maybe just a dud seed

Why do you say its dead now? after only two days?

You should be putting it in 4 layers of paper towel on a plate, 2 under it 2 above it. fully soaked with room temp water, then let it drain off, lean it at a 45 degree with something covering the light, and in a warm place, youll germinate 100% of viable seeds doing that

still hope you think? the water i got wasn't cold but wasn't warm either.....
 
I dont even use paper towels , i cut an old face cloth into a small square and just wet it and toss seeds in then fold it over. I usually put the bowl or plate or whatever the piece of cloth is on on top of my DVR or cable box to keep them warm. They crack in 18-36 hours.

yeah but your decreasing its chances of it germinating,...it needs the warmth i jus put the seeds on a porcelain plate in a napkin add water till napkin is moist. place a plastic plate on top of that ,and another porcelain plate on top the plastic ...put on a heating mate heat on LOW .....and check to add water every 9 or 10 hours.....the plastic plate in the middle make a nice little condensation chamber that keeps the seeds from drying out...hope it helps
 
good news i checked it in the light and i saw a crack!! with white bulb but it was a small crack but still! i have hope now can you check in the light really quick like? or will that shock it aswell?

yes you can, but you still need it to be warm. So just keep it in the paper towels and place it in a warmer environment. If your worried about it rotting in the paper towels, then pop it in some soil, place a bit of cling film on the top of the pot to keep the humidity in, and put it somewhere warm. You should try and cool down on the impatience though, if you think it's bad now wait till you've got no bud and there's still 2 weeks to chop :roll:

edit: just saw your latest update, good news sounds like it's popping. Check it again in 6 hours, roots don't like light.
