Hey all,
I just got myself a Minor in Consumption (MIC). By the way I'm 20 years old, and my court date is on the 21st of April.

I was pissing behind the alley of a police station; which yes was stupid and foolish but I was unaware. Although caught us peeing, he only wrote us up for a MIC. He wrote on the ticket that I have HGN (not sure what it stands for) and that I admitted to drinking 5, 12 oz Budweisers behind the Police department alley.

What should I expect for an MIC taken place behind a Police Department Alley? Should my friend who is 19 years old expect differently?

Any advice would be awesome

I'm in Idaho and this is my first offense.

God that sucks, over here legal age has always been 18.
I can remember having my own little wine glass when I was 3.
I always had hard liqour in the family cabinet, which my mom would buy, very conservative lady.
Binge drinking was never done as I didn't have the "this is gonna be my only oppiorunity to drink" thing other kids got at parties and shit.
Today as an adult I rarely even have a beer.

RETAIL SALE OF LIQUOR BY THE DRINK

23-949. PERSONS NOT ALLOWED TO PURCHASE, POSSESS, SERVE, DISPENSE, OR CONSUME BEER, WINE OR OTHER ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR.

It is unlawful for any person under the age of twenty-one (21) years to purchase, attempt to purchase, possess, serve, dispense, or consume beer, wine or other alcoholic liquor; provided, however, that any person who is nineteen (19) years of age or older may sell, serve, possess and dispense liquor, beer or wine in the course of his employment in any place as defined in section 23-942, Idaho Code, or other place where liquor, beer or wine are lawfully present so long as such place is the place of employment for such person under twenty-one (21) years of age.

For purposes of this section, a person shall also be deemed to "possess" alcohol that has been consumed by the person, without regard to the place of consumption.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor punishable in accordance with the schedule set forth in section 18-1502, Idaho Code.

What should I say if they ask how I got the beer? The truth is that the same friend is from Mexico and he has a fake ID. I wouldn't want to mention that to the judge. FMLIFE my future is over.

I just read what I wrote over again in the first post and I wrote it inaccurately. Sorry, I'm kinda buzzed and I just blazed a fat bowl to eaze with stress. I didn't want to say that I drank 5 beers behind a police alley, I was only caught there. I drank in my dorm then went out looking for a party which we didn't find, then we had to pee so we went behind an alley where we were caught.

If th cop dont show up to court and didn't breath you straight up deny you were drinking and just tell the judge you were a fucking idiot for pissing outside lol.
Even if your charged with MIC its just a bullshit charge you'll probably get community service or a fine.

i have a friend who is a registered sex offender for "pulling his penis out in a school zone". what really happened is he was driving and really had to pee, he stopped by some woods and releaved himself in the trees. when he came back to his car there was a cop waiting for him. 9mo probation and he has to tell everyone he move near/works with of for that hes a sex offender and im sure they all think hes a diddler

good luck man; id tell you to stay away from police stations, but i was drinking in the field behind one last month

get your self a lawyer if you can afford it, if not get one of those court appointed POS s

My friend just got a 65 dollar fine for underage drinking, and I got away with nothing for holding the cooler with beer in it. Usually they try not to make a big deal of it, but I guess he didnt appreciate your pissing haha. If I were you I wouldn't worry about it too much

if they ask how you got it just say you bought it at the bar and they dont card you.Or say you found it lol

just tell the judge that your freind got it. you don't know how. he had it when he came over.

This would be a great idea, but he put on the citation that I had HGN, which is some sort of drinking test with the eyes that I failed.

You are asking a bunch of technical legal questions to a bunch of shithouse lawyers.

It's obvious you are concerned. Why I am not sure exactly. It's a misdemeanor offense and you were not driving.

Go see the attorney for students at your university. Explain everything that happened. He or she will walk you through what to expect and advise you on how to proceed.
