it says submersible pump PP-333LV AC12v 60Hz 2W Head 0-50CM it is very small and has a lever on it with a + and - on it (assuming its for water flow control?) just was wondering if anyone had an idea of what i could use this for. Ive been looking into hempy grows and maybe some sort of ebb+flow system would be ideal. lmk, thanks!:leaf:

The problem is going to be finding a 12v ac power supply or does it have a transformer?

You can use it to pump water... So any application that might require the movement of water might be able to involve the pump. Filling buckets, emptying buckets, ebb and flow as you say, flood and drain. Anything that might use a pump.

Not really sure why you're asking this though, i mean it's a water pump..

plus im not sure if the +/- lever might be useful for something, something maybe w/ flow rate? :-D

Then it should be flow rate. It also affects your head (the height it can pump to, 0-50cm). Home made ebb and flow I reckon! Just buy the risers, timer, a tray, something for a res and some hydroton and your good to go! Sounds similar to what I've got in my 2x4 table.

I'm sorry, even though the rated flow rate on that pump is 50cm, it's not gonna pump that high past a trickle. It would take forever to fill a flod tray with a 2w pump. I've had 3w pumps, well, I've had LOTS of pumps because I'm a hydro guy AND I'm into salt water reefkeeping, and that is more of a small circulation pump. I would guess the best usage you could get out of that pump for growing would be setting it up for a drip grow on a timer...and make sure that the head height is like 30cm or less.

And I run several 2'x3' tables...My smallest pump is rated at 4.5 feet head height and around 200gph, but with the actual head height being about 2 feet to the bottom of my trays, it takes close to 15 minutes to fill that particular flood tray 4 inches.

mine's a 3w, 285 gph but also has a max head of 50cm and it fills my 2x4 table in 1 minute on it's highest setting. Mind you, my res is large and shallow, so the height from floor to top of hydroton is only 10"

maybe i could use it to recirculate water in my hempy setup? was thinking about some sort of way i could seat all the cups into a lid and perforate them, well now im realizing an air pump would do this better huh? so i guess what your saying is my pump is pretty useless

Pictures! I want pictures of this 3w pump that pumps 285 gph...lol...My 225gph pumps use 19w...I've never seen or heard of a 3w pump moving 285gph, and I'm just saying I've looked at hundreds of small pumps for my nano reefs(saltwater aquarium)...More like 50-90gph is what i've seen. But I'd LOVE a small 3w pump that moves that much water! It'd be a godsend for my little reef tank!

Neat little sidenote...Those little white dots are actually little tiny crustaceans that grew on the outside of the pump after being in the water for a few months(of my reef, not my hydro rez...lol)...like little spiral snail shell things...I thought it was cool.

O.K. Chill dude, my mistake.
You try concentrating on here when you've eaten 2 brownies and the sun's coming up.
It's a 285lph pump.
Hailea HX-800.
Dirt cheap. Strips easy for cleaning, adjustable flow, sponge filters, plastic parts, love it!
