and btw "doing it right" lol.You don't have to buy every controller out there if you know what a contoller does and when it does it.Just you gotta do it.I went a year before I could get all that crap.I just had to be around to do it.

I'm running a 20lb tank on my 5 x 5 room. PPM ranges from 1000-1500 depending on my fan cycle and a bottle last around 8/9 days. Tank refills here are pretty cheap $8.00 out the door, so as long as it adds ~an extra quarter oz per cycle off 6 plants combined I see that I'm atleast breaking even on the day-to-day investment. Got my tank on CL for super cheap, it's a great place to find a deal on one from a home brewer or bottle company. And one would think a sealed room would be a must for proper temp/ppm range usage.

Something no one else mentioned is limiting factors. more co2= u need more light... Nutes... Temp... Water... Temperature/humidity. Insufficient amounts of co2 limits the use of light, water, nutes, an temp/humidity. If light is limited lower the nutes, co2 an temp. This is coming from my book by ed Rosenthal so I'm not just talking crap. I also use co2 an a 20 pound tank in a 6x6x5 room lasts me 2 months at about 1100 to 1500 ppm with a nute solution that's 1300 ppm with 2 600s with temps at 85. Good rule of thumb... 60 watts per foot requires the greatest amount of co2.

Your ideal range of CO2 is 1100-1200. Anything over is a waste and causes problems. Just google it. I'm curious as to running co2 in a 3x4x7 tent with a carbon filter. Any advice would be rep'd.

OK. I know alot of us like myself are trying to save money. I say it's better to have co2 even if it's not done completely correct. I will either use a propane lantern(s) or burn briquet charcoal in a controled manner. I find the problem with the torch is that you have to be there on time to put it out and givin' the nature of the plant you may not be available to do that. With the charcoal though I can pass out and rest assured that it will go out at approximately the correct time. If I can maintain a proper shedule I can increase the yeild by 40% and get way better crystals. Propane lanterns work great for power outages also. I operate a vented system.

I have no experience with co2 But i have never heard of anything that will reduce flowering time Is there any science behind that claim? If a plant takes 8 weeks then it takes 8 weeks i would love to see evidence to back up that claim

It's because u don't use co2, the growth is explosive beyond belief. The evidence is u trying it. U will shit your pants. U won't know what to do with your self. You will never stop smiling, never.

I agree I have never ran co2 yet I have a 3,000 watt 10x10 room I'm runnin next crop I'm runnin co2 so I have been readin on it a lot and have not heard anything about flowering time shorten by co2 greater yields yess denser buds yes much more tri chrome produced yes but flowering time I'm not sure of not sayin ur wrong just never heard of

a down side to co2 is it disguises any problems you may have.They stay green and don wilt even when they are hella dry

Been running a closed loop room for 4 years, My plants wilt at the first sign of dryness. And that's running at 1200 ppms. Not sure where you got this info from, or did you make it up?

I want to PM you a few ?s about my co2 set up idea but your Mr. Popular box is full. I'm going to be getting several 4x4 quality tents and wanted to know how to control smell with no exhaust. Do you just run while sealed? You don't exhaust at dark? What would you recommend as a controller? I've been doing tons of research and it seems not many people have a clue.

I've been using CO2 for years, and you can really see the difference...I use propane and coleman lanterns and keep it at about 2000 ppm in the room, you can really the leaves lift up breathing in that co2, they love it. It's cheap and easy, and I've gotten fat buds off of it since I've been using it...anything will help.

And I don't have sealed rooms, per say...I just have a like a drape in from of it instead of a door, I built the rooms myself, and I'm no carpenter, but like I've said, it's worked great for me...try a day without it and one with, and see if you notice a difference in how your plants react.
