So how am I doing?

Got just a few questions bout my first grow but first a little about my setup. I've got one 150w HPS a little over 18 inches away from my 8 plants. They're all about 5 weeks into veg in some FFOF.

Around the beginning of their sixth week I'm going to start them on about half strength grow big and will increase strength gradually. I'm also getting another 150w HPS in a few days.

As for questions I've got about how this is going:

With a little less than a 3x3 grow space, will 2 150w HPS be enough?

Will adding a LED lamp like this one help out at all if my current lighting is insufficient?

I plan to line my walls with Mylar soon but with my walls already white, will I see much improvement?

Aside from everything I'm adding, is there anything relatively inexpensive (under $100) that will help out at all?



Be honest, I can take quite the beating as long as my girls ( crossing my fingers ) can grow happy.

Make sure you have yourself an isolating fan in the growing area to move that stagnant air around.

thanks for the feedback. I take pictures every week to keep track of growth, so I'll update next Wednesday with more pics and such. This next week is all about adding equipment to my set up, should be interesting.

Well boys and girls, Wednesday has come around so here's an update:

Picked up a second 150w HPS making it 300w total I have over the plants, started them on grow big (only giving them 3/4 of whats listed for foliar feeding for now), I moved the sprouts to a new set up I'm building just for my sprouts (I'll put pics up by my next update).

Thats all I've done over the past few days. By the weekend I'll have a fan or two in there and I'l have mylar up on the walls. I plan to make use of many cfl's in the near future, I'll be working on a rig for those over the next few weeks. I'll be picking up an led light (or panels) over the next few weeks as well.

It's some bagseed from a strain that was grown outdoors a few towns away. It was decently potent so I have some high hopes

As far a specifics, it falls into the headies category around here, if that means anything to you

Decided to get that sprout box going today, it's a bit ghetto rigged but I think it'll work all the same.

Put some fans in the room the other day, should have the mylar up soon. The sprouts are looking much better (one kush, one beast), plan to put a lot more work into their set up soon.

yeah, picked up on that a little late, saved two of them though
