First thing... relax.
Second, make peace with the fact your gonna screw something up royal.
Third. Keep 1st grow simple.
Now, when I grew my first plant by myself in the 80s outdoor I grew a scraggly piece of kindling that smoked like hay with a head rush..... was still best feeling ever! So if it dont look like some of the buds on here don't fret.
As for the grow..
Indoor is special, little more expensive.
First and most important is light. The light has to be strong enough to get where you want to go. Don't buy one led blurple pos on eBay. Size and cost based on your space and budget.
Next, if your doin soil, stay away from anything miracle grow. Get a goof ff happy frognor ocean forest. If that ain't a avaliable then a ph soi about 6.5 with noooooo time release nutes.
Nutes, the ff stuff is fine. Start with half the reccomended dose and slowly work your way up to full strength. Don't feed anything for veg in first 3 or 4 weeks if you use happy frog.
Pots, get smart fabric pots. It will keep you from overwatering and air prunes your root ball.
Schedule. Feed once a week in flower. 18 on 6 off light in veg. 12/12 light in flower.
Environment. As close to 75f as you can get. Humidity 65 in veg, drop to 50 or 55 in flower(mold).
Ph. The second most important thing in soil behind light is ph. Get a ph pen, spend 75 or 100 bucks. Cheap ones are garbage. Get buffer solution to keep it calibrated. Everything that hoes into soil should be 6.5 to 6.8. No exceptions.
Lastly, be patient!
Hope this helps.
