So Azamax sucks for getting rid of spider mites

yep same as the super viruses we have now as well. Comes from people taking antibiotics and feeling better and not taking the whole course and killing it all off. instead the virus left around develops immunity to that antibiotic, breeds and we have people dieing of flesheating super viruses.
same with mites. people hose down all kinds of shit and they are developing the same immunity. thats why you have to run multiple things to kill off everything so the one that got sprayed with avid and doesnt die doesnt escape and breed its immunity in the wild.
Then they will develop an immunity to Floramite as well I imagine. I also hear they tend to hide off of plants within nooks/crannies of grow rooms etc, so vacuuming is now part of my routine preventative maintenance. Hell, some growers go as far as to change their clothing upon returning home after visiting another person's garden.

Johnny, did you bleach the room top to bottom and everything that went in the room before starting this grow?

No, my fatal flaw I'm sure, but still, I think they came in with the clones. I had fungus gnats last grow from the organic soil but I never encountered spider mites. Jonny has learned a valuable lesson with this whole messed up situation...a little preventative maintenance goes a long way.

shit johnny lesson 2 is no matter what you do for preventative they will get you eventually. Clean and sterile is good but when you bring in the happy frog with thrips or some such other shit it won't mean nothing. Fast identification and swift action is the lesson. kills me how some grubby dudes don't clean anything and go years without a big of any kind talking trash about the dirty growers with bugs and then the spotless lab gets infested.

I would opt for the mighty wash. The shit works great and is not toxic to humans or animals. I've done the no pest strips, and didn't have any luck with them. On top of that do you really want some chemical lingering in your bedroom around you and yours?

Which ever way you go, good luck with it. Those little bastards are tough to control.

the only thing that worked for me in the past was hot shots no pest strips.
The packaging on hot shots says don't be exposed to the strip for more than 4 hours. If he has it in his bedroom, I wouldn't use the pest strips. I had mites once. I trashed all my plants and bombed with Dr. Doom. I only grow from seeds now. Haven't had any problems with them since.

I hear you Johnny, I did three grows with clones and all of them had mites. The last three I have done have all been seed and after thoroughly sterilizing the room, nay a mite or gnat could be found! I remember your gnat thread! Your next grow will be the best ever, trust me! Also if you need some genetics, I share my "Nice&Fat" and it's an awesome producer. The buds are huge. PM me
