So any ppl knowledged on Heli's and IR

Like

1) how many lights cause a basement grow to give a strong enough heat sig to warrant a search?

2) how easy is it to spot plants from the sky, can they just spot a single plant or does it have to be many close together?

3) What is their protocol?

just stoned and curious, really hard to find information or even photos and video of actual ir footage of ops both indoor and outdoor...just wondering if anybody has knowledge or informative links!

ya well im running a 600 in a tent, vented into the house with a carbon filter, so im sure im not throwing any sig and I grow....sure its not that simple....thanks for trying though!

If you are referring to outdoor grows, one need not worry.. I know the OPP uses a IR cam on their hele's however only for S&R.. They don't bother using them as they are A) Ineffective and unreliable for finding marijuana ops, and B) it's easier to just look outside and spot the sites..

As for indoor grows, youtube has plenty of answers on that one.

I wouldn't ever through a trashbag of weed in the back of your trunk.. in toronto a guy got busted because hele altered to heat signature in the trunk.. ground pulled him over and found two bags of freshly harvested outdoor..

Near infrared reflected spectrum gives MJ away very easily but that technology is not in widespread use for MJ spotting(and it would have to be a decent sized plant or patch), more for mapping jungle areas as it can pick up reflected signals through cloudcover and canopy, google Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry, and Lidar

where I am here in ontario they definately do flyovers.....at least once a week during the summer, I'm close to serveral golf courses, lots of corn fields just north.....they have a specific pattern that they follow you can almost set your clock to it, they shined the big spotty on my and my bud, we were just about to leave, spotted them and within 5 mins they were on us....we were still in front of his house so we just sat on the lawn and waved at them.....we went in had two more beers and left about an hour later....when outside we do bunches of four to eight, so I'm just wondering if those are easily spotted, we made it last year, but only had two spots....planning more this year!

what's your ish......did you not read my post.....i know fully well that a 600 has no sig.....i am simply asking to learn more on the subject.....if you read the initial questions I ask at what point does it become obvious....you need to work more on your reading and people skill and less on the trolling...but again thanks for pointing out the obvious!

about the outdoor stuff depends on surrounds if you can blend in and you know they patrol I would stick to 2 to 3 in a group and space as best you could....dont try and do to many groups even trying to not pattern them that will be a pattern if you know what Im trying to say..............house heat would have to be pretty high heavy duty grow cause thats what they are looking for........how temp???? I dont know really thats going to be a individal dept thing and agency fed or local............might google just out of random max heat grow room or some random words like that I bet you find a buch of replys.......just have to sort the bullshit out...........and Im frucking trashed so if any made sence CONGRATS lol............

I actually got that LOL.....ya im not worried about causing a sig although I am the only house on this side of my street, right across the road is a massive subdivision, i back onto a golf course......it was just stoned curiosity that got me wondering cause I do hear alot about bust going down due to the copper chopper here, SWAT actually came to the course behind me and rappelled in pulled a shitload of plants somebody stuck out there and were off....it was insane! I have a pretty good spot...well two......this year I wanna do another six, but I'm gunna have three different locations.....thanks for the info tho.....I figured it would have to be a serious operation for the thermal to pick it up in the basement....I mean whats hotter a cpl 1000 watters or a wood burning stove? Thats why i feel there is more to the busts than the media lets on....but as I think about it more now...it dawns on me that most likely somebody broke rule #1 and spilled the beans about their grow.....and loose lips sink ships....
