First time out west but I've ridden a few mountains out west.............think we're goin to Breck and Vail
Nice, both towns are awesome. Brecks lines are usually worse and has more flat spots on the lower part of the mountain. The conditions are awesome.

Im not a fan of Colarado for riding, Too many assholes, 45 minute lift lines and basicly no heli or cat riding. The parks are good but im too old to be hitting 50+ footers anymore unless im landing in waist deep snow. Imo wyoming, idaho, wash and oregon have better mountains more snowfall and alot better vibe.
I guess always being in co around xgames time taints my opinion tho but jackson hole and revelstoke are the best places to ride in north america but you better be able to ride nearly vert terrain...... and sooooo many hot aussie or nz girls at revi

The weather at Breck is usually perfect, but I stopped going because of the BS between skiers and boarders. The last time I went was 10 years ago, so hopefully it has improved. So much easier to board on the left coast, where it's 70/30 boarders instead of the other way around, in CO. Crusty Butt is pretty nice.

I'm from the ice coast/east coast, nyc /poconos area, so ANYTHING out west and with powder is good enough. those lift lines sound like they suck though. Hopefully it wont be too bad.

Get your buzz feed in Denver. Shit in Eagle county is thin pickens and im not aware of any recreational. I know treeline is going recreational but not for a while.

So hit up Denver before we leave that city, that's were we'll landing?
This is the type of info I need to know, lol. We're renting a car too so we can drive around, but I'd rather ride the mtn all day and then relax at night....we have one day to be "tourist", all the others are for riding. So yea any more info like this would be much appreciated.

What town are you staying in?

I ask because Pot Mountain (mary jane) is in fantastic condition. I don't know about Vail currently, but Pot Mountain is in better shape than Breck. And, the lift lines are WAY shorter, if any.
If you are going for the nightlife, Breck or Vail are way better alternatives.

If you go to Mary Jane, there is a dispensary in Empire, it's a tiny town just as you get off of I70. I've never been in there so I can't vouch for the quality.

Never had any long lines in Breck...my favorite place to hang out, ski, and board...chill town with a great vibe. You can park your car and get on a lift right in the parking lot.
Otherwise they have a great shuttle system and everything is walking distance as far as food and booze...great layout.

Sweet, you keep going to Breck. Tell all of your friends to keep going to Breck. It's just a myth about their record number of skier visits per year.

Don't forget to spread the word about how much Mary Jane sucks. LOL

EDIT: Do you know where that parking lot gondola takes you? To the bottom of the hill. Time to get on another lift.

Sweet, you and your friends stay away, better for me.
That great vibe I mentioned just got better.
Do you live in Colorado? How often do you ski Breck? I used to live there.

Like I said, the town is awesome...the Mtn. sucks.

I am pumped regardless of lines or not, east coat isn't any better.

For the boarders here I got a question for ya. OK dig this.....I've been riding a capita horrorscope really soft, fun as hell, I can bomb any hill over here, hold edge no problem. Never rode pow with it..its my first "park" board I'm not hitting huge jumps rails sm/md size. Also thought it might be a little harder to blast runs being a soft board but it not at all. I also have a nitro board, not nearly as soft, still fun board more of the classic normal board, fast. I rode this one in pow before had no problems. SOOO do I bring my soft noddle or the nitro.......don't want to pack 2 boards either.

Just a tip, stop in Denver for some bud if you can, because I am sure the prices in the mountains are steeper (no pun intended)
