smscom fan controller. Something's gone wrong!

Hello growers, iv searched the net for answers but found nothing. I bought an SMSCOM fan controller with thermostat 2 days ago to control my RVK100 extractor fan. Iv had it all rigged up working fine, when the temp got high the extractor fan kicked in, when it got to the desired temp it went back to the idle speed i'd set. Today it seems that the idle speed has stopped working. When i turn the fan idle controller up to max the extractor kicks in full speed, when i turn it down, even slightly, the fan stops turning and hums loudly. The fan works as normal when not connected to the controller. My question is, has the controller developed a fault or have i damaged my extractor fan by running it at a low idle speed.

It's the controller.

I have had the same one controller for almost a year no problems.

My temps is set around 22C for ambient room temp with a very low idle speed.

A fellow grower I know has the same again and his fucked up.

They have a great warranty. Check your product information sheets. I think its a 5yr warranty. But if you got it from a store then return it for another.

If you got it online contact the seller and tell them.

If you get no joy with them contact smscom directly and they will get it sorted for you.

Poor products don't offer a 5yr warranty.

Sounds like the pot used in the controller has failed, and would definitely ship it back for a replacement or refund.
