heh, i dont have any kids around and i am in college and we all smoke in the house except for tobacco, but i understand if you have children.
I would never smoke around kids, i'd feel extremely guilty, good going :)

Keep in mind plants absorb and reject foreign material as well. They would probably clean them selves to some extent. Dont underestimate them.

yeah, i was amazed the first time i grew.. even though my babies were deficient a little, you really see how tough they are to continue

If you clog the stomata the plant can't move water through it's vascular veins. These "veins" also deliver netrients and carry away waste products.
That is why it is important to keep them clean and clear. And they don't clean themselves. They depend on you if they are grown indoors for that.

You would have to smoke around it a lot lol. I doubt they care about 1ce a day or less. Smoking is of course Hazardous to your health so probably the plants too.

Well if you know that the plants don't clean themselfs indoors then why smoke around them at all? Now what I like to do is smoke and then go into my grow room. I talk to my plants and tell them how good they are doing and shit. Its surpost to be good for them to talk to them so I don't know.

Merely speculation really. Talking to plants just gives them a bit extra co2. We are just portable co2 generators.

Lets just say person X blows a bong rip on their plant from an equal height. If we're smokin with the plant we're all sitting down in a circle with our legs crossed right? lol

The smoke residue will clog the stomata when covering the leaf. This inhibits CO2 because a lot CO2 uptake is from the leaves, and stop the water flow in the plant (a plant works kinda like when you syphon your neighbor's gas from his tank. Only its water going from roots to leaves and out, not gas from tank to 50 gal drum.)

Your plant wont be able to breathe, pee, or really drink anything.

well, thank you all again, as of now i will never smoke with my girls again.
but wouldnt it be sweet if marijuana plants loooved to get high? and it was good for them to get high???
if it was, i would be smoking with it allllllll the time.
