lol man that is byfar the stupidest idea ive heard, only when the plants are sprouts a male plant has more THC. when there full grown it has none.
Sorry but that's just not true, a male plant reaches the highest THC level when most of the flowers are done. But this is only in high quality types of weed. Type III male plants are useless.

I saw a National Geographic program in the late 60s-early-70s about a tribe in central America that worshiped the Marijuana plant and made a butter out of the resin and ate it with every meal, even the children were stoned. The marijuana plants were, get this, 30 ft. tall, like trees. one tribesman actually climbed up into the marijuana tree and grabbed a huge Male flower (about 3-4 inches in diameter) and stuck his nose in it and squeezed it and snorted the pollen. He proceeded to slither down the tree and leaned up against the base and sat there convulsing with a wild look on his face. this lasted for about 30 seconds and then he just sat there. I can only wonder what kind of a rush he got out of that. So my contention is that the male plant has some THC, especially in the pollen, and if cultivated and left to grow, can be a perennial or multi season plant. The trunk on this plant was at least 14-18 inches in diameter, I doubt this grew in 1 season. This tribe lived in a virtual MJ forest. The tree the native climbed up had a lot of these male flowers on it. And oh yeah, this tribe was the most smiley bunch of people I've ever seen and very friendly to the camera crew. I've wondered for years why National Geographic doesn't do a re-run of this program, probably by government censorship. People tell me I'm crazy and they never ran this, but I know what I saw, and since I was a stoner at the time, I paid close attention. Maybe someone could contact National Geopgraphic and get them to run this again, I'll bet the government would jump all over them.

When I grew out my very first plants, I took a couple of males out early so they didn't pollenate the females. I crushed up the leaves and immature flowers and rolled a couple of joints out of it. I DID get a buzz ... but nothing like from female flowers.

I bred the original jackFrost, some of the most potent bud on the planet, and put this theory to the test a few years back, to win a bet. Pollen was collected from half a dozen large males, by wrapping them in dryclean bags, while they were flowering. 15 grammes of pure pollen was collected. After the 5th bowlful was burned we gave up, no buzz whatsoever. the girls, on the other hand were awesome. look at my gallery pics!

What are the origins of this kind?

white widow x jack herer, stabilized over 6 generations before crossing with NL#5, further stabilized over 6 generations before crossing with a wild kashmiri rainbow.

Definately two excellent varieties. not sure of the average geographical origin but male potency varies on that as well as type. But either a type I(tropical zones below 30 degrees latitude) or type II(bordering 30 degrees latitude) plant could have as much as a female. You could have just waited too long and the pollen was all gone, and that is when they lose all of what you want.

Well From reading a bit I have formed a (thought lol no) Theory. Perhaps ingesting the pollen in a way other than smoking it. I saw someone say they smoked male leaves and got a buz that would indicate that there is THC in the male, but grab some male flowers, crush them with linoleum blocks to get the oils mix with sugarwater and boil and put in food. Or try to smoke at this point.

I was really hoping that everyone was wrong, but as usual, they were right. Its like a milionair ask the audiance lifeline. They are usually right.

ok, ok, ok.....

I have to jump in. for ohhh so many reasons. 1st let me start of by saying I am a small/medium sized grower snatching an opportunity in the edibles/concentrates division of the medical marijuana community in southern California. I am also a new member and first time poster. Now having said all that......

here is a picture of me and my grow room, a small video and some close up pictures of some recent blue dream with the most amazing hairs.

See the hairs on this beautiful blue dream plant that is just 2 weeks into flowering?

Ok, so my whole point in this is just to start off by saying I have some knowledge on the topic. I by no means am claiming to be any authority. But I am under the assumption that the pollen from a male marijuana plant at the proper age and development may be even more potent and valuable than its weight in kief.

Male marijuana plants do contain thc. This is easily proven by looking closely to the back side of the leaves for trichomes.

I originally started reading this post in hopes of research for pollen extraction in use with an electronic smoking device such as an electronic cigarette. I suddenly found that I needed to come and defend 420in808.

There is thc in male plants. Smoking balls does sound funny! In any event I wanted to join the conversation and community.

budhoe for life.
