If anything it is good. Burning anything near it would remove some oxygen from the air around it, and when you exhale, you would release co2 which the plant could use. It wouldn't even be a noticeable difference, but it won't hurt.

smoking is no more beneficial than breathing near a plant.
havent looked for anything saying if it is bad or not, but I would really rather not smoking around my plants.

some people do it, I used to, dont anymore. smoke will clog the leaf stomata. nuff said.

on occasion I will do it ceremonially...but in small quantities and only to plants I know can take it :bigjoint: but daily is doing more harm than good. if you want CO2 breathe heavily on your plants, or start up a homebrew

I don't know this to be true but I read that the smoke blown out of a smoker is carbon monoxide primarily. If so I would think that would be bad for any plant. I smoke but rarely in my grow room. Hopefully someone can substantiate this.

Hi Everyone! my first post in this site!

I wouldn't smoke tobacco near my plants at all. Neither do I let anyone who smokes touch my plants.
The reason for this is what in Spanish we call the "Mosaico" Virus, I think is "HMV".
I had it once... and it's the worst thing you can have. No cure, and it spreads easily.

It wouldn't happen in the wild if left to grow natural so wouldn't think its helping your plants but regardless I'd say whilst you probly wouldn't see any visual signs of it harming your plant its what you can't see that could be harming it. ALSO isn't that a kind of sin to smoke Mary j around other plants I mean its like cannibalism lol :) :peace:

It all depends on what your smoking and how often and if your indoors or out .. An occasional joint or bowl will do no harm but tobacco smoking around gardens in general is not advised as noted due to Mosaic Virus . Smoking indoors creates second hand smoke as we all know , this has also been proven to leave chemical residues upon its contact , why allow this in your grow and on your plants . In time it will clog the plants stomata as well as your filtration system and as well the film from the smoke will collect on lamps and bulbs . No win situation and its best to go outside and smoke . Now I do admit to smoking some bud now and then while working in the grow , its just second nature and usually happens to be in my hand when I enter my grow .
