Smoking leaves / drying leaves

I like to use as much existing components as possible and I have been looking around to see what's available. I want to make something that anyone can do and I think I am close. I have eliminated all but 3 drilled holes and redesigned the whole thing. If it works it will be something anyone can do.

This is concept of the extractor as I see it:

I did a quick mock up of what I found in the kitchen. The stack of pans rest on a heart source. The center pan sealed top and bottom. The bottom pan contains the tincture and is heated to ? degrees under ? inches vacuum (that's on web). The center pan is for alcohol recovery. It has a hole in the bottom with a tube that extends above the recovered alcohol level. The top pan is filled with ice to condense the alcohol and let it drip into the recovery pan. A hose from above the alcohol level in the recovery pan to the pump and another to a simple water filter to remove escaped fumes.

Three pans, a little silicon sealer (around the top edge of the two bottom pans), a couple of fittings and some tubing, a small vacuum pump, and a water bottle. That sounds easy enough to me.

If it works I think I'll call it the "DancesWithWides Distiller".

I would go for a ethonol wash oil with everclear
Actually, that's what this thing does. It evaporates the alcohol and recovers it in a closed container. You are left with pure oil on the bottom.

It's really simple and easy to make. The design has progressed to a nice looking device. The three bowls are replaced with one 2 quart Pyrex bowl on the bottom, and two 2 quart stainless mixing bowls.

All the parts cost less than $70. The most expensive is the vacuum pump. Amazon has a lab pump for $39.99.

I will start buying the materials on Monday.
