Smoking in the grow room? LED bad for your skin?

Ok guys this may not be my brightest question I ask but I'm not sure about it so here goes.... I like to sit in my grow tent and smoke near the vent since the filter cleans out the air and the smell of weed. (like if I have people over or something upstairs I can smoke in peace) I have a 1k wat equivalent LED in my tent and I'm worried if its safe to sit under it when looking at my babies. Will the smoke from my bowl hurt my babies if I'm near the vent and is it safe to sit under such a large light? I find the airflow relaxing and it always smells really nice in my tent so I was curious.

Don't do it , the smoke will combine enzymes with crucial thc prioritized colony's of bacterial corrosion. . Once the metabolic substance goes rancid the plants will stop ticking.

Didn't know that, what about the sitting under the light thing? I know some of the bulbs are not visible to the human eye that's mainly why I wonder about the UV.

hey Jellycat....IMO smoking in the grow room isn't good for the plants but I have done it before with no ill effects.

the smoke residue is not good on the bulbs either, but it's not a big deal

you can do better than that...

I found this in a science jernal... its a bit long but very scary.

"a newly discovered sesquiterpene (a psychomodulating compound found in along with cannabinoids in the cannabis plant) called omega-summalenne) is making headlines in the psychiatry/psychopharmacology community and is believed to be responsible for some of the most disabling longterm negative side-effects of cannabis use. Interestingly, it is produced naturally by the brain, and is found in highest concentratons in the parts of the brain responsible for the stress/fear response (such as the nucleus accumbens, amygdala and ventral tegmental areas).

It was found to be responsible for reinforcing the negative connections that trigger paranoia, panic and unpleasant emotions in conditions like PTSD and panic disorder - and caused similar symptoms when given to cannabis smokers in an distillated pure oil extract. 20 minutes after administration of a dabbed omega-summalenne oil dose the majority of test subjects reported intense feelings of paranoia,

In an experimental setting, researchers were able to increase the concentration of omega-summalenne in cannabis oil extract 10x, by exposing the flowering plants to smoke from burning cannabis material (specifically a spliff, also containing tobacco products)

It may be that over expression of such terpenes can alter the psychoactivity profile of cannabis and lead to a higher negative impact on the mental health of users. A possible explanation of the pharmacodynamics of the link is that psychological trauma to the flowering cannabis from smelling its fellow buds get burned is being transferred through epigenetic modulation of terpene expression to the harvested flower."

In short, when your plants realise you are going to burn them down like the bud in your bowl, they freak out and the the terpene content in your weed gets fucked up!!!
