Smoking Drugs

Has anyone acused you of smoking drugs after they found out you were smoking cannabis? I hate that so much one of my friends said to his dad awhile ago that he should try smoking some pot, because he had back pains, so after he offered to him he said, "O yea, thats a good idea ill smoke drugs"
I thought that the word drug is singular and drugs is plural.
