Smoking and eating

So obviously if you eat when high, it will numb the high.

But; if you eat right before getting high won't it still numb the high to a certain/large extent as the food obviously isn't processed instantly?

I think it's best to give the food a chance to digest for 15-20 minutes at least first. But I have often gone right from dinner to a bowl. Sometimes I get indigestion from that if it's a stimulating strain and/or I ate too much food... but otherwise, it does not affect the high, imho.

I haven't found it to blunt the high. I've fritzed out with cream of cheeseburger sliding out of the corner of my mouth. cn

It's a complete myth, but I do remembering hearing it back in High school.

I often eat after smoking. Munchies man, you got to satisfy the munchies!

Well, if it's a complete myth stemming from no where, it's pretty ironic that eating soon after smoking DOES significantly shorten my buzz personally. I've heard this before and only believed it because in my personal experience, eating within 10 mins of smoking kills my high and shortens my buzz. Not that I think it has this effect on everyone... and IME eating after smoking sativa-heavy bud kills the high even quicker. But correlation does not equal causation... maybe I'm just weird.

As much as I'd like to be a troll here, I too have succumbed to such experiences, if I eat a big meal after I smoke, whether it be a placebo type thing stemming from the thought already being in my head or not, I notice that the high does go away faster. Eating and putting eye drops in have both made me feel like this.
