I dont know why anyone would ask these questions...... It is obviously not ideal nor good for them..... Not saying I don't do it every once in a while, but it surely can't do any good.....

Im not sure plants smell but i think that smoking in the grow room could clog up the stomata in the leaves

After some research thats the only reason i saw as well. This goes especially for cigarettes. But Then again how would you like it if i smoked your sister in front of you :-D

I have very positive plant karma. My plants love my presence and don't mind me smoking my cigs while I am in there. BUT... I smoke right below my exhaust so most of it goes out the room. I touch my plants. I don't fear touching a seedling. It's all about plant karma... :weed:

I would worry about your electronic components and things like that. Smoke is never good for anything. That is why there is smoke damage, right? I doubt it will affect the bud in any negative way unless you are smoking copious amounts inside there.

Smoking anything in your grow room is not good for your plants. As people have said previously it clogs up the stomata on the leaves.

let me elaborate for those who dont know, the Stomata on the bottoms of plant's leaves are the small pores that alow the leaves to absorb moisture and Co2, without airborn moisture the leaves dry out, and without CO2 the plant dies...... smoking clogs up the stomata by introducing carbon monoxide(CO) to them, nothing lives off of carbon monoxide.... plants need carbon dioxide(CO2) to survive.

the stomata are highlighted green in this scanning electron microscope picture.

to smoke a small amount, once in a while wont harm them, but smoking every time your around them will. just as a precaution if you do smoke around them spray teh bottoms of the leaves with clean room temperature water to wash away the carbon monoxide (CO)

I have read that smoking tobacco can infect your plants with tobacco mosaic virus - probably BS though.
smoking around the plants will not give them TMV, but using pesticides or fertalizers with nicotine in them will. tobbacco is a known repellant for spider mites, this is why some people feed it to their plants and end up giving them TMV.

how would you feel if you were surrounded by the smell of burning people?
*sigh* That has nothing to do with the fact that the reply was dickish. And I actually don't smoke, so you really look retarded now... On top of that, have you ever known a plant that could smell? I rest my case.

I mainly vape my product but there is still resin in the vapors even when exhaled so i try to avoid the plants getting any smoke on them. BUT I vape in my office with both my vegging and flowering plants in seperate gardens in said office. All smoke in the room goes straight through my cooltube's passive intake and outdoors. I have a filter on the intake and the resin builds up rather quickly. If you are smoking around your plants then the effect would be worse and it will have a negative impact on them, you may not see it but its there.

Actually there is a possibility you can get the tobacco M virus stuff from smoking cigs with your plants and there is not really anything good as many have said already, the only thing that might be minutely ok for the plant is the co2 in the smoke, other than that it has nothing to do with plant karma or opinion it is biology/botany/horticultural fact that smoke in no way helps a plant, anyone whom says it doesn't hurt they're plant is wrong and they are lying to themselves and you, the plant of course will not wilt over and die do to some pot or cig smoke you won't even notice a diff but I assure you your plant is choking , but there is a reason we ventilate the air in our G rooms and such (clean air) not smoke filled air with all that crap from smoke in it. If you doubt what I say actually look it up, not in a pot forum, but in biology or horticulture(only they may react just like wonderblunders did, like are you f ing serious) or try growing a plant in a smoke filled room, dosent even need to be cig smoke and tell me how that turns out for ya. PEACE YO
