Putting the literal "hurt" on white widow #1. Day 24

5 week veg. 4'x4' space. 600w hps. One white widow.

Took the net down and did some more pruning today. I have a feeling she's not going to stretch much more. I could be wrong though.

The pallet she's on is 48"x40" (120x100cm).

A few bud sites got the axe and a few new ones got exposed.

The only downside I don't like about HPS and being in a basement is the fact that sometimes I will forget and go a week or two without seeing the plants under "regular" lighting. The pictures I take I use a blue filter over my camera with the HPS light running and I normally wear blue filter glasses. But still, not the same....

Not such a great idea for keeping track of how things are "looking". So I put a 48" T12 flourecent light in there and am hoping to get in the habit of checking things under it every couple of days.
I'm happy to say I think the coloration looks about right. I've dropped feed from 1.6 to 1.4 over the last few days. I can see a little effect in the new growth. Not quite as dark/as much nitrogen.
Happy with the new feed mix so far.



Og kush auto doing well. The jack Herer in back not so much so I gave them a little dose of some tap water.

WW#2 and GDP vegging. 600w mh.

Fill it up. Going to end up with 4 plants in the flower tent, an auto and a photo in veg to keep flower tent supplied. 4 week veg times. I'm taking down my 4x8 veg tent and move to my 4x4.

White Widow #2 now in the flower tent. 7 weeks veg. Tomorrow = day 1.


Jack Herer didn't make it. I also got heavy handed with the GDP and broke off a main stem. So I topped her again setting myself back a couple more weeks.

I'm giving her a week or two to recover and then flip her.

I'm putting a new fem/photo gorilla glue seed in water tonight and still waiting on my Gelato from Nirvana. Est. delivery 9-5.

The auto OG Kush will stay in the veg tent under the cmh and a Gelato will be popped asap upon arrival.

Done and done.
Veg tent swapped. Things moved. Gorilla Glue soaking in water.

I'm by nature a very messy person. I have tons of projects going on constantly. I hate cleaning, but every now and again I have to get shit straight or it drives me nuts.

So I spent today smoking and working to get some small things tweaked and my work area a bit more suited to my needs.


Still a long way to go, but getting there.

70/30 perlite/vermiculite in 10 gallon totes now.
4 gallon was too small...

What I like is the cover, when I’m a little water happy I’ll get some algae forming on top , if they’re small, once they shade the container it doesn’t happen but when a lot of
Light hits my perlite it sometimes happens. So covers would be nice , u remove to water ?
And yeah those look nice, week 5-6? They look sativa dominant a bit what is that? Gonna looks purdy in a couple more weeks

Those were all different strains from my last grow.

I hate algae also.
I feed sub irrigated.

Gravity drain the same way with 3/8 line to a condensate pump that automatically pumps everything to my sewer.

Nice. I like the system , I fill a 70L Rez and pump-hose-sprayer style, I like to get in there n have a look at everything anyway but it would be nice to be able to set it n forget it.. I also usually have 100+ plants in flower plus 50+ in grow and another 50 fresh clones, so that’s be a lot of hosing lol.. and moving anything around would become a real pain since I have separate rooms.. I thought about building some kind of wooden brackets to have a top feed system drain back similar to what u have but in the end I didn’t do it .. it takes me an hour and a half to water 150 plants.. I feel it’s less complicated to be old school a bit in watering

Got some things cleaned up/straightened out. Both reservoirs and feed systems up and running.

2 gorilla glue seeds in water germinating.

Got another tote made for the gorilla glue to go into hopefully tomorrow.

Realized I've got to go grab some more perlite tomorrow. I still need 2 more totes which is another 20 gallons

I need one asap too because I put a Blue Dream in water tonight and am dropping a Gelato when they arrive.

I figured 1,815 watts of lightning utilized more effectively will produce much better yields than just having 2kW of hps beating down from above in the flower tent.

The results were..
2- 1000w HPS in the hoods running @ 500w.
2- 600w MH @ 250w.
1- 315w CMH.

hey man great set up currently can only run 1200watts for flower but your an inspiration, gathering all my items to kiss soil away for good and officially switch to hempy. current run is ocean forest decent for what it is but craving that extra growth . I have a 2x2 for veg and 3x6 for flower ..going to model your journal tysm for keeping it all on record for the other insomniacs out there pouring through the forums at 3am. I live in a legal state east coast u will enjoy the mental freedom (started in a very backwoods state that hated MJ) now I dont care if I share pics I just stay in the legal limit and never have issues

Looking good bud, I just finished my huge harvest, resetting my room with a couple scrog this time.. packing 15 under 2 double Enders see what I can pull with that.. only 3gal pot sthough.. these guys got to 7feet in grow! I basically had an issue with mites at the end and had to wait to sanitize and in that time they got bigggg lol .. so I’m strapping em down to 4.5 feet and flip in couple days..
