Ran some testing over the last couple of nights. Looks like I've got my tent down to around 78F max with 2kW running for a full 12 hour cycle. Pretty happy with that.
I decided to make my high cfm kit dual purpose by weaving my nets through it to use as a permanent frame for them. I plan to leave the first level at a set height and have another set with larger holes if a second level is needed.

I had a package of key rings sitting around so I put them to good use to tie my centerpieces together. I think it turned out pretty well and keeps me from having any annoying bar down the center to deal with.

I'm surprised at how evenly I am able to get the net spaced with minimal effort.
That's right up my alley.

Hey .Smoke question.... the hoses in the hempy buckets is that for automatic watering or is a suction hose for the waste just curious looking into hempy buckets and this thread is definitely an eye catcher. Did you say your medium was a vermiculite and perlite mix? If you don’t mind me asking what ratio 50-50 60-40 just curious. But anyhow spectacular grow keep the post coming I enjoy watching the progress

As for the hoses... they are for both watering and drainage.

For feed, I use a 800gph vivosun pump in a 30 gallon reservoir that pumps to a Floraflex Bubbler.

From there its 1/4" vinyl tubing to the inlet on my buckets. Those are 1/4" John Guest quick connect/1/4 npt male fittings siliconed in place.

Then drainage is the same, but 3/8" fittings/tubing drilled 2" up from the bottom of the buckets that gravity feeds to a condensate pump with internal float that automatically pumps to my sewer.

So, knowing my flow rate and how much water they need I set my timer accordingly and everything is 100% automated. I just have to mix nutes.

My media is a 70/30 perlite/vermiculite mix. I just used the stuff I could find @ the local hardware store.

I HIGHLY recommend giving Dutch Bucket (Hempy) a try. I know I'll never go back to soil. Here's a link that helps explain the basics pretty well. Beyond that, it's up to you how you want to build/run your setup.

.smoke thank you for the feedback I really do appreciate that you took the time to explain your set up to me.. true gentleman and good person. I'm definitely interested in the Dutch bucket. I'm currently trying my hand in I guess you would say soil (potting mix no nutes +perlite). To no avail. But failure is a learning experience so I keep chugging along. Blessings to you and yours:D

Yeah, I never really gave Scrog a chance till now, but I figure if I'm going to be running 10 week veg times from now on, I better get some knowledge under my belt asap. So, this first 5 week veg plant should be a fun little "break in"...

Sounds good, I’m a fan of long veg times. I’m in a solid wall 6x7 area so I would have to figure out the access to make a scrog work. Maybe a plank I can set across and lay on haha, double as a tanning bed. My first scrog and last was in 2001, 2x2, the beginnings lol. Had pics on the original overgrow pre 07.

I decided to go ahead and top/thin White Widow #2 again. I figured she's a little over 1/2 way through veg with 4+ more weeks to go so she'll have plenty of time to make some nice size branches. EVERY available branch/node has been topped. Some multiple times...

It's funny.
When I first started growing I loved to top/defoliate.
Nowadays, it's kinda painful to see them this way... :cry:

I can't sleep. Finally checked you journal out. Nice set up. You just need plastic industrial pallets. Like the ones the watermelon boxes are on in grocery stores. I'm going to try to buy a couple myself. They are real close to 4x4 to. I agree. Loved topping and defol in the beginning. Now it hurts to abuse my plants. And all that viable clone stock in the compost pile. And it is just work now. No more of these cluster fuchs. Like my plants and space neat and tidy. Nice thing you got going there.

Repotted my 3 mothers from 6" pots to 3 gallon fabric bags. Not to sure what future plans are for them at this point...

What did you order? Their Skywalker OG looking and smelling awesome! Nirvana chemdog on deck thinking about ordering more from them. Sour d and Maui waui I think but the grease monkey and matansuka are both enticing as well.
