Smoke vs Edible

My preference depends on how I am feeling at a given time. I have a laundry list of ailments and this old bod has some pretty severe damage. If my hands aren't working well, edibles are my BFF that day! I make some pretty good rock candy if I do say so myself and as long as I consume it on a schedule that over time I have developed for myself it keeps the pain at bay pretty darn well. Sometimes, there's nothing better than toking on a good old fashioned J, but my hands won't allow me to roll my own anymore so that also depends on if someone is here to help me.

You should look into purchasing a rolling machine.. They come in handy for people with arthritis.

Thank you, ballin174. I have considered it actually, but worry/wonder about the 'strength and grip' required in using one, as both for me are pretty much non-existent these days. :( How easy are they to use? Tobacco 'rolling' gadgets that I have seen really don't roll, it's more like pushing, and are impossible for me to use.

A auto injector would probably work best for you.. Below is a link to see one in action.

I just ordered a few of these to try out.
These came today. I sat down for literally like 2 minutes and tried it out. I didn't think the paper was in it right and I closed it anyway and an absolute perfect joint popped right out the top. I was extremely impressed. I will check it out better tomorrow and try to post some pics.

remember the transference of THC or CBD to butter or what have you does not need heat.

it is the decarboxilation process that requires heat - this is what turns your THC-A into THC and then further to CBN as it degrades. and yes. you can create more, that is how it works. more CBN and CBD with lower THC would be fantastic for high anxiety or depression states.

48 hours though as long as your temps are fin and low, it won't degrade much. but you'd have a better butter if you did heat for a couple hours and then let then let the butter sit over night and then slowly melt to a liquid again or medium heat. this process actually helps with the solubility in the fat and thus your potency of budder.
that last part is actually what i do, i tried a few different ways, but i heat it up till full liquid then let it cool till its solid and i do this for 3-4 days and man oh man, stuff is great! the key for me is to separate the milk fats from the oils its really easy to burn the milk fats and make it taste TERRIBLE!

I'm making CannaButter and wondering what I can bake with it that has a longer shelf life than brownies or cookies.
I guess I can't make candy with it.

Any ideas?
I want it so I can take to work and use like a pill or something.

Yeah you'll need oil to make the candy. When incorpating the oil into the candy I'm going to try using a little everclear as a solvent in my shatter. I hope this will allow them to mix easier, if you stir the candy too much when mixing it can become grainy and it takes a little work to incorporate shatter.

Hard candy and tincture are the ways to get through work. Candy works great, but I know several that put drops in energy drinks, 5-hour energy, Mt. Dew, what ever. That last part on the day is hell with aches and pains.

I've recently made canna coconut oil capsules. They work but there's a few things that I'd do different next time.
I keep nearly all medibles in the freezer. This is key w cookies. Brownies won't stay around long enough to spoil.

Chocolate. Keep it in the fridge and it will last months.

I can PM you a recipe later if you want ....

Yes please.
That makes sense too.
Doesn't seem like chocolates go bad fast.

Yeah!
I'm making brownies tonight with half of my cannabutter I am almost done making.
Then I want to make the chocolates maybe this weekend.

Glad you are great man - thanks for the offer - I need to figure it out though - my pain grows almost daily it seems.
I used to be able to make it through 8 hours on pure grit; but it's getting really hard now.
Thankfully I don't usually have to work that long.
I'm a tilesetter - each job is different and I do a lot of small stuff for apts. etc.

But like tomorrow I have to get a shower repaired in one day because it's the only one in the apt and they have a wedding to attend Saturday.
I probably got to tear out half the tile area on the walls and rebuild it; so if I ain't at least got a cookie or a brownie I'm pretty much screwed.
So I've decided that if I need oil then I will learn how to make oil.
Kinda like that teach a man to fish thing...

I'll tell you one damn thing though - I'm doing that shit in the backyard.
I've been thinking a lot about that house in Lansing that blew up while they were making BHO.
Wouldn't it be possible that something as simple as a fan motor could have thrown the spark to start the explosion?
Everyone always says well-ventilated when the topic is discussed; but maybe an electric fan is not good for that?
I'm thinking the backyard is best option.

So I put more than a zip of bud into 2 sticks of butter this time...

Wow - Thank You everyone for this thread.
I finally learned how to make really good canna butter from this exercise.

The double carboxilation thingie does the trick.

I forgot to add the butter to the crock pot after boiling weed in water to start it.
So 24 hours later I realized my mistake and had to add it and wait another day.
Anyway - I did another carbox thingie at the end and then strained into glass bowl.
let sit overnight and made my brownies tonight.

I never understood that you need the high heat at least once to activate the THC.
So I'm thinking all of my other brownies and cookies were just CBDs and CBNs or whatever.
Because this is a lot faster acting and I'm still getting higher as I type this I think I was wasting a lot.

Before my brownies would take like an hour to start working and usually make you more tired than pain free.

Making chocolates next.:weed:
